I choose computer science and Engineering course as it is demand in Corporate sector. Students in this stream are quite high and competition in this branch is more than in any other branch. Faculty is good

From 7th semester placement for students get started. Various companies visited the campus for placement cognizant, Stylumia, and Argusoft and they made offers between 7 to 10 lac The highest package offer is 13 lac and the average package in college is 3.6 lac Almost 80% get placed from the CSE branch

The fee is average as per engineering college Different scholarship schemes are available for students like alumni scholarship, Prime Minister special scholarship scheme, Gill student scholarship and Sc St scholarship are there

The college focuses more on academics but still, the college organises fests like Annand Utsav, Techno Mela, Gne Apex and many others at a small level. But the main fest is Anand Utsav. The library is also available and it is great for students who actually want to learn Sports facilities are great Clubs are also there ISTE, Itian clubs, CSI society

Our college admits students both through direct counseling and from Punjab Technical University Counseling. In both Jee mains marks matter and 12th class marks also matter. Reservation is also there for students

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.

1) I only applies to Guru nanak dev engineering college ludhiana and Lovely professional university Phagwara . I chose Guru anank dev engineering college because of low fee as compared to LPU and also Guru annak dev engineering college is old as compared to LPU so it will have lesser alumni network. 2) No i didnt get rejected i just left that college. 3) Adimission process- simply apply from website of IKGPTU based on jee mains marks and 12th exam. As this college was nearest to my home . It is. Also one the most popular college in Punjab. It is most affordable college . I didn't applied to any other college . The admission here was from 2 rounds of open counseling and I got admission in 2 nd round. The cutoff for my course was about 85%. There was no such exam as entrance exam .
