Lpu : A blend of India's top University.

I completed my bsc and msc from lpu so wanted to complete my phd from here. Sachin sir was a big support. In phd under every faculty there are 4 students on average so everyone gets good guidance Teachers are good.Some are average. There are no specific teaching methods. Typical college teachers. Exams are conducted rapidly. The mid term tests are frequent and sometimes clash so that's a bit of headache. They are relatively difficult to pass because notes are not given. So you are on your own to prepare for them.

Real life work environment is provided under internship. They are tied up with big companies like Microsoft Infosys,simplex ,abb and many other. There are various projects such as co curriculum competitive events , guest lectures, educational trips ,workshops debates etc. The only provide you the degree if you complete theseprojects

Only the brilliant minds get placement during the course. I personally haven't got any offer. But commerce students get package of nearly INR 5 LPA. LPU advertises that 80% of the students get placements which I can't verify. My plans are doing research after completing my PHD and then get a good placement.

To be very honest fee is a little bit on a higher side. Fee hikes every year and there are a lot of charges which are unaccounted for. I haven't got a job yet because i am still completing my degree. But yes there are a lot of opportunities in University itself.

The annual fest is called one India. Students from different states celebrate this fest by promoting their culture. It Was celebrated in April. Library is very abundant and big and you can almost get every work that you wish to read. Classrooms are of very high class. Air conditioning is provided and smart boards are there in every class For sports the events name is youth Vibe there are a lot of games and curriculum activities. You can explore your talent in every field that you wish to Students have what designated app known as LPU nest plus there is a portal called ums. Different Instagram pages Facebook pages are run by students

Rooms are based on affordability. These are three seaters 2 seaters and 1 seaters we get the option of getting an air conditioning room which is obviously costly. Rooms are clean but not painted well. Dogs keep roaming around the rooms and balconys which is the bit of a problem. Food is not that good and it is very costly. Sometimes it is very unhygienic especially of mess but you can eat from canteen which is a better option. You can register from ums portal for the hostel but rooms are costly for a middle class student. If you want a PG you can have it in law gate but it is not a safe place.

Eligibility for phd was you should have completed your masters plus there was a personal interview and a test based on syllabus of msc. Application form ,dates ,fees etc was provided through ums which is a personal portal of lovely professional University. Fees was a bit less due to reservation. No it was fair and a clean process. But yes time could have been shortened for all this process. It was a bit hectic.
