What IIT actually is

I particularly didn't have any special interest in the branch but it was a good enough branch for me in IIT. The faculty-student ratio is average. The faculty is well qualified but the teaching methods can be improved to make the students understand better. We were given sufficient time and it was not that hard to pass the exam as compared to JEE.

To my knowledge, I think the placements start at the end of 3rd year and in 4th year. Many big companies visit our college and a good number of offers are made. The highest package of 2022 was about 55 lakhs/annum and the average was around 20 lakhs /annum. The Percentage was around 80-90 percent. I plan to get a good-paying job and maybe further start a startup.

The fees is quite high for a government institution. But considering the quality of studies and the placements it is justified. I have registered for fee remission and I haven't yet got any job. As for financial assistance, the remission of fees has enabled my family to afford my study at the IIT.

There are 3 fests in the autumn semester and one in the spring semester. I am yet to experience the fests so I can't share my experience as of now. I think the no of books in the library should be increased. Our classrooms are quite good. There could be better sporting facilities and coaches. But as it is of now I do not have any major issues. All the societies and clubs are actively functioning and are useful in learning new things and expanding knowledge in various fields

Our hostel rooms are the best thing in the college. We have single accommodation with good network connectivity. The meal quality is good but the taste is below average as expected in IITs. Registration is quite simple as it happens through the college's official website. I stay in the campus hostel.

I entered this college through the JEE Exam. Everything regarding the exam is available on the josaa and nta websites. I have availed GEN EWS, it did help me a little in getting into the college. I want the college selection to be a little more flexible.
