Best University in The Gurgaon

I had a very keen interest in Tech and built some projects in class 12th which made me pursue Computer Science. The faculty here is really good. Most of them are Ph.D. holders. The Student: Faculty ratio is like 8:1. The Teaching method is also good. It's not like other colleges where teachers just come and deliver a lecture on whiteboards. We have sem every semester some quizzes, assignments, and surprise tests, and an end sem at the end of the semester.

Many companies start coming for internships when students are in 3rd semester. Some of them are Paytm, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Flipkart, and startups. The average stipend is around 10-25k and many students are given opportunities for internships including paid and free depending on their skill set. Most companies are for Tech and IT jobs.

Students are eligible for internships in the 3rd semester itself and many students who know the course work are given opportunities. For placements, basically, students are eligible in the 6th semester. A lot of companies visit KRMU such as Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm, Tech Mahindra etc. Almost 80% of students who are eligible and opt for placements are placed. The highest package offered this year was 28 lpa and the average package is around 6-7 lpa. I am most likely to do an MS from a foreign institute and maybe I will not sit for placements.

The fee structure includes two components: Tuition fees and hostel fees. The tuition fees for the whole 4 years is 7.4 lakhs divided into 4 years which is 1.85 lakhs per year. We also have to submit a 10,000 rs security in 1st year and the rest of everything is included in it like books and exams fees, sports fees, etc. Hostel fees are 1.4 lakhs per year and 20,000 rs security in advance which includes everything like mess fees, AC, washing machine, ironing, etc.

KRMU has an annual fest named EDUDE FEISTA in which they invite some celebrities or singers. They also organize freshers in the month of November which Parmish Verma, a Punjabi Singer and Producer is coming this year 2023 on 25th Nov. Also, many events are always going on. A lot of books in every possible field are available in the library. They have a variety of clubs and societies in which students can participate which also include the Computer Society of India. Sports facilities are also good which includes indoor sports and outdoor sports like Basketball, Cricket, Football, Volleyball etc.

Hostel rooms offer a variety of facilities which includes Inbuilt AC, Separate Washrooms and bathrooms, Shoe Racks, Separate Almirahs and Cupboards, Study Table and chair, Fast speed Wifi, etc. Meal quality is also ok. The menu is different for a whole week and nothing repeats in that particular week. We are offered meals 4 times a day which includes snacks in the evening.

KRMU takes admission on the basis of 12th-class merit. Application forms can be found on their website and it costs around 900 rs. The application deadline is usually the 15th of September. As I got merit in class 12th, I was also offered a 35% scholarship in 1st year fees. The only improvement I want to see is that they must admit fewer students based on marks and tighten their eligibility criteria.
