Remarks

The management is okay, not that good. Campus here is good.

Entrance Preview

The entrance exam which I took was KEAM, which by then alloted the branch applied electronics and instrumentation to me.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I would rather say that the study system we are studying right now is outdated..I mean the portions should be updated. It's Engineering, development of our country is based on it, and yet we are studying about the machines and tools and other equipments/ instruments which were used in earlier days.

Internships Opportunities

I don't think my college provides internship, I am not sure about that, as we have to go for internship somewhere outside during the vacations, being compulsory to attend one of those. I though know that they provide placement after you pass the 4 years. Recently one of my pass out friend has got placement at Tata.

Placement Experience

3.5

They provide placement after you pass the 4 years. Recently one of my pass out friend from applied electronics and instrumentation has got placement at Tata, and he is doing great there. He's a graduate from Calicut university, Don't know about our placement chances that much as we being the ktu University students.

College Events

3.5

The biggest event of our college is Tech Fest also known as MESTECH. It's a grand fest where lots of people participate and celebrities comes over to college and then they are many stunts, autoshow, new tech stuffs, etc made by the students. Also a lots of live events. You can check out the instagram page @mestech19 for our recent programs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible and also expensive in both ways. For merit- 79,000rs For management - 100000rs For NRI- 1.5- 2 lakhs rs For merit students, some students get more reduction by the scholarship scheme of our government. And for management quota and nri quota students, its the same rate as mentioned above.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah there are specific schemes for scholarships, for the poor people. The students who enter through merit quota are offered to apply for a scholarship. He/she can avail it based on their family income and percentage scored in school.

Campus Life

3

Campus is great. If i would say about gender ratio, boys are more. Civil and computer science department have more no. of girls compared to other branches, and mechanical department does not have any girls. Sports events are done good here. Also various competitions takes place often, in the field of robotics, debates and much more.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel is not as good and clean. But then when you get used of staying here at hostel, it's okay. No attached bathrooms, and each room accommodates three to five members, depending on the size of the room. Hostel fees is cheaper compared to other hostels. Food here is okay (rating:6/10)

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the senior students and alumini always share their experience over here and help us to deal with situations in our college. They guide us during any problems and are very friendly.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is based on semester wise. There are eight semesters- four years. Each semester contains two or three series tests--internals and then one semester end exam of 100 marks. If you fail for internals, you are not eligible to write externals.

Admission

I got alloted to this college by writing KEAM entrance examination. Then I came and joined for the course : btech- applied electronics and instrumentation. Filled up the form and registered to it. Later on, I got to know that my class strength was only 17, out of which 2 students later on went to other branch. But so far it is good to have a class of students 15 in it.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty of my college are qualified, having phd's and all. Every faculty is very much interested in taking class and exams. Studying engineering have a lot of pressure on students. The standard of teaching is just above average. Rest of all thing is good.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably
