Remarks

The college is very good. Teachers are highly experienced. They are good in understanding the problems of the students. But the only problem is the placement which is the ultimate goal of a student.

Entrance Preview

The entrance exam which I gave was MH-CET. I scored 80 marks. KDKCE is one of the oldest n reputed college in Nagpur. It is specially famous for mechanical and civil branch. I wanted to pursue my career in mechanical branch. So I was pretty sure for taking an admission in KDKCE. Also it is nearer to my house so it's an added advantage.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course provided by RTMNU is good. But it's tough. If you 're opting for BE from RTMNU then make sure you 're ready to work hard. When you go into fourth year there are few elective subjects which are different for different branches. The course is tough. I had to study regularly in order to keep up the pace.

Internships Opportunities

No. When I was studying in KDKCE the college did not provide any sort of internship. But the college use to take us on an occasional industry visit for a day and then it was our duty to gain maximum from those visits.

Placement Experience

0.5

There is hardly any placement in KDKCE. During my days in the college I hardly saw any company visiting the campus. 1-2 companies came but it also was for a pool campus, not specifically for KDKCE students. Opportunities are also very less. If you're looking for quality education this is a place you would like to be. But if placement is your priority then it's a no from me.

College Events

4.5

The even semester is full of events. Every branch has it's own events and then there is grand college gathering event. The event of mechanical branch was known as ZEP and annual college gathering as NAVONMESH. Various types of games where included like tug of war, kabbadi, arm wrestling, cricket, mix cricket, etc. Students from entire Nagpur use to attend the events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being an engineering college the fee structure is little less compared to other engineering colleges in Nagpur. While I was studying the fees was in the range of 75k-55k. Every year the fee was different. Also the engineering exam fees are very high. Even if you have one subject back to had to pay the entire exam fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loans are available for taking an admission. I took the loan. Talking about scholarship it is available for the reserved categories. I am from open category so have no idea about scholarships.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is very good. Campus is very big. Plus two big canteens is an added advantage. There is a cricket ground. Girls and boys are treated equally. For sports there is a sports room where you can find carom, table tennis, Chess, etc games. Various types of competition take place during events.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facility is not that good. It is a bit far away from the college.the rooms are available in plenty but the room are not that clean. Cleanliness is the major issue. Fees is affordable. It was around 40k. PG's and rooms are available in plenty. Average rental being around 3k-5k.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, senior students are very helpful provided you contact them. I once contact a senior for his guidance on the final year project. He was very helpful. Told me how to do the project. Provided me with some contacts who could help me with the project. And it made may life easier for making the project.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is very good. KDKCE conducted two exams i.e unit test and end term exam prior to the university exams. So it helped the students for preparing for the university exams. Labs are also well equipped with the machines. So learning is a good experience.

Admission

I got all the information from AICTE site. All the information like beginning of the admission rounds to taking admission in the college all information is available there. Also the KDKCE management is quite helpful in the process. They make us understand everything.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of KDKCE is very helpful accept for few interns studying Mtech. All the seniors teachers are friendly, supporting and helpful. But few of the interns hardly help you and make your life difficult when it's their time like during submissions and viva.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
