I am actually happy with my choice of college as the faculty is very well versed and easy to talk with. I learn something new every other day which makes my experience more enjoyable.

I took up entrance exam for NIFT and scored 1849 rank in general and cleared the exam for symbiosis. But out of all present options, PEARL ACADEMY was the best one as it had a good ranking.

I feel that the foundation courses structure is very appropriate. We are tested in all our electives that are design, drawing, material, digital, context and communication. The testing helps in finding what we are best at. There are plenty of field visits to enhance the learning experience. The curriculum is very apt for foundation students as it starts from basics.

Since I am in the foundation I do it have much knowledge. But yes, an internship is provided to us in 1st year.

Being in the foundation, what all I have heard is that placements are very good. Our college celebrates all important festivals such as Holi, Diwali etc. Proper celebrations with food, stalls, and dhol are kept. We celebrate small events like teachers appreciation day also. More each year PEARLUTSAV the cultural fest is also celebrated on a grand scale with people coming out from all around. Every student is encouraged to participate.

Well, the fee structure is expensive. It is about round figure of 5lacs appx. But college also offers some scholarships for the student's ease. The total fees for ug fashion design course is 1710000. Each course has different fee structure such as ug communication design has fees of 1590000. So it is quite expensive for some people.

The college offers scholarships to students who perform exceptionally in entrance exam even if not applied for. And students can also apply for scholarships. Right now I have 30% of my Tution fee waived of for 1st academic year on the biased of my entrance exam and interview.

The gender ratio in college is 3:1 in fashion design course but equal in other courses. the hostel organises various celebrations on festivals night. The college also has various societies such as drama, dance, theatre, literary and promotion, sports etc. There is no tolerance for bullying of any kind.

The hostel has about 13 rooms for students on twin sharing biases. The quality of food is average and right rooms are medium sized. Not that spacious. The Gaurds are appointed for security along with warden. The PG'S around start at ₹15000 p.m to 25000p.m. However the college hostel has fees of ₹315000 annually. The hostel includes a mess room, a lobby, 13 rooms plus wardens room and rooftop lunch area.

The start of college begins with assignment of a buddy ie is our senior who helps us at every step. Right now the seniors are in a different campus from foundation but will be in same building in next academic year. However all small contact has been helpful for answers to questions .

There ante no written exams as it is a design college. We have jury that is just like an interview which is held after every 8 weeks. So 4 times a year in foundation. For each jury we have a certain project that we need to complete with certain steps. So it is less hectic if the scheduled timeline is followed.

I procured the form from the college's official website. An official announcement had been made on the website regarding all important dates. I had actually chosen the wrong campus I.e east instead of north. So the administration was very helpful in process of shifting to desired campus.

The faculty is overall very nice. The teachers are fully qualified in not just their subject but all others even. For eg you can learn drawing as well as material from your design faculty. The teachers have vast knowledge which we can obtain with proper interaction. Also, the faculty is easy to approach even if you are not taught by them.
