Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I had an interest in electrical and electronics staff from early childhood. I used to examine PCBs and other electrical machines from my early childhood. I had had a taste of repairing electrical instruments from an early age. The faculty-to-student ratio was 40:1. Faculties were well qualified with a minimum post-graduation. They had an active teaching method which enabled them to productively teach students. Term exams were there at the end of each semester and it was more likely to pass for an average student.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for the entire program was one lakh and fifty thousand rupees for a semester. There wasn't a fee-hike policy as these fees were constant for some years. Fortunately, I got a Dr. M.G.S Scholarship to cover my expenses for education. My entire college fees were paid by this scholarship.
Campus Life
The annual fest in our college was named Tharang. It was usually conducted in September. Books and journals were readily available in our 24*7 active library. From that time onwards people used to refer to online journals and relied on platforms for seeking information. The classroom had several amenities like a projector screen smart class, etc. Tutors used to load their lecture notes in our classroom system so that they could be successfully viewed on the projector screen. A social group run by our students was called Socio2011. It was a group for students by the students. One can understand that the group used to help poor students by helping them financially to pay college fees and other fees. They also helped students by solving other issues one can face in his/her tenure of student life.
Admission
The admission process in my college was purely based on merit. The government has allotted me a seat in electrical and electronics engineering at Vedavyasa Institute of Technology. The cutoff for the seat was around two hundred-something marks in the entrance exam overall The eligibility for the course was a pass plus two science and a valid entrance exam score. One can find the application form, application fees, and dates from the government site. Since my allocation to this college was purely based on merit, I can't say that the college website contains all these. Since I come from a lower caste, I availed the OBC benefit. I was admitted to the OBC quota. I want to see the admission process improved by employing more candidate-centric assessment criteria.
Other Applied Colleges
Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre - [NCERC] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electrical and Electronics Engineering)
I didn't opt for this college because I have heard some negative reviews about the college
