Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The energy course I've taken has a variety of electrical chemical and mechanical divisions of topics. The faculty-student ratio is good enough and there are less number of students in this course. There will be a mid-semester and end-semester exam and some quizzes in between.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internships are available from the 5th semester onwards. People usually do summer internships in their 3rd year. Companies like Microsoft, Uber, and many other top companies come for interns. The stipend is always pretty decent as this is a premium institute in India.

Placement Experience

4.5

Generally, during the end of the 6th, 7th, and 8th semesters, people get placed on campus. There is a placement cell on the campus which verifies each student's resume and helps them to get placed on campus. The placement percentage for the Energy science department has consistently been close to 100%.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are pretty reasonable as it's a government institute run by the central government. Scholarships can be availed by economically weaker sections with the required documents. Most people get placed on campus.

Campus Life

4.5

Life on campus is incredible. There is a techfest which happens annually and MOOD INDIGO, Asia's largest technical college fest happens here at iit Bombay. All social groups and clubs are very active and working.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels are decent, but they could be made better. But it's good enough for student life. Rooms have LAN ports for use. Students can buy routers and use. Meals are provided at each hostel at right times. Registration for hostel happens during college admission

Admission

Candidate has to take the Jee advanced entrance exam. Admission is based on the Indian rank of the candidate. The official website of the examination opens a month or 2 before the exam. Reservation ms could be availed with required documents.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Relevance: 8.5/10 (High Industry Alignment) The curriculum is highly relevant because it is one of the few in India specifically designed under the guidance of the Ministry of Home Affairs. PSU Alignment: The topics covered—such as Industrial Safety, Petroleum & Petrochemical Fire Safety, and Hazard Management—directly align with the requirements of top recruiters like ONGC, IOCL, and GAIL. NEP Integration: The college has recently transitioned to the New Education Policy (NEP), which introduces more flexible, research-oriented, and interdisciplinary learning modules, making the degree more modern and globally competitive. Practical Edge: The "Fire Ground Operations" (FGO) are not just physical exercise; they are a live application of the hydraulics and chemistry you learn in the classroom.

Curriculum of the college is as same as any other colleges. College does follow traditional approach but college does conduct various programs like AICTE idea lab course in curriculum. Teaching method in college needs to evolve and college needs to encourage the coding and development culture.
