Berhampur University at a glance

The courses are well designed by keeping in view the competitive exams like NET, GATE & SSB. The P.G. Department of English has 4 faculty members with an intake of 50 each year. All the faculties are Professors. Classes are held regularly every day. Exams are conducted timely.

Fees are very minimal as compared to other universities. Students also get very good opportunities in scholarships both at the state and national levels. Students avail of National scholarships, Prerna, medhabruti, labour scholarships and many more.

Life on campus is very enjoyable and full of Learning. There is a gym, sports club, auditorium, library, study hall and refreshment zones. Functions and programs take place on a regular basis. The annual fest is conducted in February with the foundation day celebration. Libraries are full of various national and international journals. Classrooms are fitted with projectors and smart boards.

Hostel facility is amazing. There are 8 girls hostels. Fooding charge is very low but food quality is excellent. One can avail for a hostel seat after his/her admission is successful. If one wants to rent rooms or stay in PG then the market area is just walking distance away. The place is secure enough for girls.

The admission is based on your performance in the CPET Entrance exam. Anyone having a bachelor's degree with more than 55% can appear in the exam. All details of the application form are available on the SAMS Website. There is also a reservation policy for SC, ST & OBC. There is also a sports quota available.
