At Berhampur University, admissions in 2015 were based on academic marks, followed by an admission intimation process. The reviewer attended the university for two years, where the English department consisted of five professors, offering a faculty-to-student ratio of 1:20 for personalized learning. The curriculum included four semesters with assignments, and the student failure rate ranged from 8% to 10%. Despite not offering placements or job opportunities in the English department, other departments like IRPM and Marine Science did provide placement opportunities.
