Course Curriculum Overview
There are mainly four courses offer by SIT lonavala. Computer, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications. We have seen faculty unavailability sometimes but other faculty members do not make students feel about it. I would rate faculty and teaching in average class. Exam are conducted by university on semester basis. Sometimes it delayed due to some technical problems otherwise exam system is well planned.
Placement Experience
For placement there is a centralised process of it. For placement students of this college have to go to main campus of this college which is in Pune. Various large companies comes to college such as TCS,Infosys etc. Campus placement drive starts in second semester of third year but most of placements occur in final year. Average package getting by students is annually five lakh ruppes.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure varies from over one lakh to two thousand rupees according to category of particular student. For different categories there are different incentives by government with the help of scholarships. Students get financial assistance by government through different scholarships.
Campus Life
Student life in campus is probably one of the best in all colleges of SPPU. We could see here vast greenery to large playgrounds. There are different cultural events organised by college administration. Some of main events such as 'Surabhi' hosts by college. College provides students various clubs for their personality development like ' ACM','IEEE' etc.
Hostel Facilities
In the campus there are hostels with different locations from bottom of mountain to top of mountain. Some of them are newly built and some needs instant renewation. Management provides us various mess according to student need student can choose one of it. In hostels free Internet is provided by college.
Admission
There is a seemless admission process to get admission in any college affiliated with Savitribai Phule University,Pune. For that purpose we have to go through entrance exams. There are collectively two entrance exams first is CET (Common Entrance Test) and another is JEE( Joint Entrance Exam). JEE is nationwide entrance exam conducted by central government and CET is conducted by state government of Maharashtra.
