Remarks

The college is not good enough for the name it possess. The campus life is boring. There is no scope of extra curricular activities and you should really give a serious though before coming here.

Entrance Preview

I got in admission procedure through JEE(JOINT ENTRANCE EXAM) MAINS score. I landed up in this college as it is one of the most prestigious college of Indore but to my expectations it does not deserve any prestige though. There was no interview process followed as the admission was purely based on JEE mains rank. I chose computer science stream in bachelor of engineering course so as to become a software engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview

1

The course I chose is one of the best but the RGPV curriculum is ridiculous, they have been making us to study subjects which didn't even bother to relate with our stream. Practical learning is a mere dream , there is no practical learning as the teachers themselves do not know how to implement the theory practically. As they have no focus on practical learning so research is impossible. We get choice i.e electiveness but we don't choose the subjects but the faculties do it on their own.

Internships Opportunities

There are no provisions of internship in our college. We have to apply medicals for internships on our own for our goods. We always come to learn how to live in corporate culture through internships. The stipend is not fixed and depends upon where are you working.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placements are also not that good and you cannot rely on college campus and have to go for open or pool campus. The official placement percentage is as high as 100% but in real scenario it is as bad as 45-50%. Major companies are TCS,Infobeans,Yash Technologies,CSC,Ruchi Soya. Average package is around 2-2.5 lacs per annum with highest being 4-4.5 Lacs .

College Events

2

There are major 2 events dandiya nights and moonstone that is our college fest. Moonstone is a big event but with no participation for students of other college. Avg footfall is the college students only. Everything around is average be it college authorities contribution or the works of organisations.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For a student from middle class family the fees is quite humongous. You have to pay 90,000 for an year and you don't get any good out it. Lumpsing it becomes 3,60,000 for 4 years i.e a pure wastage of 4 Lacs rupees.

Fees and Financial Aid

They do provide scholarship to the reserved students based on caste based reservation and also to some of the scholars. I did not availed any. No college does not help in getting any loan.

Campus Life

2.5

There is nothing in name of extra curricular activities. There are no opportunities to explore ourselves.

Hostel Facilities

2

I am not residing in hostel though hostel rooms are good. There are sharing as well as single rooms available. There are no PGs. I don't exactly know about the paycheck. The food is below average and there is a huge problem of water supplies in college.

Alumni/Alumna

I don't know about the alumni network as nobody even wants to revisit the college once they are passed out.

Exam Structure

There are 2 internal mid semesters in a span of 3 months and labs are scheduled on weekly basis for respective subjects on particular days. Labs are never tiring they are always fun for a CS student. But exams are hectic. Then there comes the main exam which is scheduled for more than one month for mere five papers.

Faculty

1

No matter how qualified the faculties are they don't know enough about the subjects they teach. It's been three years for me in medicaps but I could merely count 2-3 teachers who were good enough. They don't interact generally as they just want to complete the course. Coming to standards of teaching it's poor, not a single teacher can speak English fluently not they can speak Hindi properly. So standards are very low.
