My college (GCET)

civil engineering was always my first choice and galgotia college is the best place to do it. faculty members were fantastic and very supportive. Most of them were from IIT colleges pass out. There were two sections in that course and the total number of students were around 130. The civil facility had around 40 to 45 members with a Hod sir. there was one teacher for 10-15 students to solve any problem regarding academics. There were two sessional exams which held every semester and then a university semester exam.

I got an internship in a cement plant in Jhajjar, Haryana. and 10 days internship at a construction site in gr. Noida. I did a project on soil stabilization and my hod sir help my group to publish it as a research paper in a physics journal.

In 3rd year of college started preparation for placements. There were PDP classes were assigned for students to prepare for the same. There is no civil company coming, only IT companies came. and the highest offer was 50 lakhs. 96 percentage students were placed from college.

one-year fees were around 95000 to 1 lakh. and every semester there were exam fees that I gave to the university. The exam fees were around 7000. The scholarship was available for students whose parent's income was less than two lakhs. and there was also a fee waiver option at the time of counselling for students who were under 2 lakh income. I did not take the placements because I want to be a government engineer, but around 3.5 lakh per annum placements were the average placement in the college.

college was full of clubs as per your need, hobby, or choice. During my time in college, many fests were held like Unifest 2019, sanrachna 2.0 Fest for civil students, and many more. There is a huge library in the college whose time was 9:30 am to 7 pm. Every topic has around 20 to 25 books in this library. Classrooms have fans, projectors and wooden seats which were very comfortable and the main thing which I personally liked was that no noise came from outside kin classrooms. The college has Cricket, basketball, and football ground also and every year there were trials held and the college team went to play tournaments.

During the 12th I gave the entrance exam of UPTU and after clearing the cutoff which was around 170 marks out of 400 (s.c.), counselling started so as per my marks UPTU gave the options me but before that, my first choice was Galgotias college and luckily I got this college and I started pursuing my b.tech in Civil Engineering. Counselling fees were around 6k and the date was 16 August 2017 when I came to college and from the very next (17 Aug) my college journey started with that college.
