What Students Say
Likes
- Hostel Life and the campus amenities. It's a whole world in itself.
- The flexible curriculum. You get ample time to explore different things and domains.
- The faculty. This is one of the best thing about this University. They are well qualified and supportive.
Dislikes
- The curriculum. In our syllabus it was so irritating to be stuck only with C language till the 5th semester.
- The dull mismanaged parties and fest . They really need to focus on this part as it's already been in blacklist for misbehaving with celebrities
- Lack of transparency. They don't really care about getting into depth of certain matters and money is all they demand .
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I wanted to. Faculty is one of the few things I liked about this University. They are very helpful and qualified. The faculty-student ratio is fine enough. We have 10 teachers for a strength of 50. The teachers are worth appreciating and so are their teaching methods and the study material they provide. Exams are conducted on a semester basis with 1 or 2 Mid sem and 2 final semesters categorised as odd and even. The difficulty level of the exams is somewhat between easy to moderate. You can pass them easily and score well by studying fairly.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are available from 2nd year at our university. It actually depends on the student. Work hard and smart and you will get it for sure. The stipend depends on the role and responsibilities. Sci-tech projects and projects related to the chosen domain are given. Also industry based.
Placement Experience
From sem 7 students become eligible for campus placements and from the 3rd semester for internships. Companies are pretty decent for Management and Engineering students like Larsen Turbo, swiggy India, oracle etc. The highest package has been 15LPA and the average package this year was 5LPA. I don't know much about the percentage but I am in contact with seniors and cell members and as per them it is 85%. My plan after getting my undergrad degree is yet to be decided because I am not sure if to go for a master's in AI or job opportunities.
Fees and Financial Aid
Well, as it's a university, not a college, and that is too autonomous, a fee hike is understandable. And as it has been 1 year here, I can surely say that they are improving and getting collaborated with a lot of prestigious companies and organizations. Whereas I feel the fee hike is drastic and should be more decent. You can have a scholarship based on the entrance test or your academic performance and sgpa or Haryana domicile merit test. You can opt for an education loan. The department is pretty cooperative.
Campus Life
The annual fest is conducted in the month of March. One is the Sportopia which is all about sports and athletics and the other is a cultural fest which includes various activities and performances. There are workshops and seminars arranged from time to time on the campus. Teams are prepared and sent for hackathons. Books are available in the library of engineering and management blocks whereas the library of engineering block is more a couple spot. The classrooms are fine but the projectors don't work There are many societies be it dance, sports, literature, management, debate, MUN, fashion, eSports, etc and you can easily get into them by passing the trials which are not that hard.
Admission
Eligibility for my course is having PCM in 12th and 50% or above in the equivalent of these 3 subjects. Aspire is the entrance test to be taken followed by a PI, You can get the test details on the official website. The eligibility criteria for availing of scholarships can be improved as they try their best to give you the min.
