Journey in scet

As I am in the IT branch I know about IT only, the course is pretty good in our first-year c language and Python is taught. And as scet come under sarvajanik University (recently it has become University) in the first year all subject are same for all branch same as any other college but chemistry is also included which is not in gtu colleges. The faculty is very supportive and as it is a private college they teach everything if we attend class 70 % of the syllabus is covered which is pretty good as mostly in college we have to study on our own. They teach according to what the industry needed. In the first semester, we have two exams, the first mid-term exam, and the University exam. The mid-term exam is 25 marks and the University exam at the end of the semester is 60 marks. The only cons are that there is a compulsory attendance of 75%. The student-faculty ratio is 1:70. And I chose this branch because I am interested in it and it nowadays is very high in demand.

As I mentioned earlier there many companies who visited our campus like L&T, Infosys, Amazon, Wipro, Birla group, Torrent, Adani, Yokogawa, GHCL, and many more. Teachers give assignments regularly, and in the 7th semester we have to get an internship or we can do the project.

There is a training and placement department for placement and training for job interviews. Many companies visited our campus for placement like Reliance, Adani, AMNS, MG motors, TCS, L&T, Infosys, Tata, HCL, IBM, Google, torrent, Yokogawa, and many more 85-90 % of students get placed from scet. I am planning to get a placement on campus. From 7 semester the company comes for placement.

The fee is 1.18 lakh for one year. We can pay fees semester-wise. As you can see fees are high so there are several scholarships like mysy and many more. And if you too in college then also you can get a scholarship. In our college, the highest package was 21lpa on campus and the average package is 4-5 lpa.

Life in Scet is very fun, we have many co-curricular activities and clubs and tech fest. Kshitij tech fest, GTU tech fest, etc. are organized in scet. And the annual function like verve is also celebrated. The library is not very big but it has books, we need for our subject and there is also a digital book in our library. Sports are also there in scet like vollyball etc NCC and NSS are also there in scet and blood donation camp are organised .

The admission was done through acpc so there was no entrance exam we have to give and as for the cutoff it was closed at around 7000 in round 1. My rank was 3211 so I easily got admission in the IT department. And the admission process was easy we just have to fill out the form and attached the required document with it and pay the 1-semester fee. And if you are OBC then you can admission to the IT department up to rank 9000 in round 2. And we can get mysy scholarship if our percentile is 80 or more than 80.
