Our college doesnt have ATM facility so we need to run to ATM if we need money for college stationary or fees or any other reason

I am doing Mechanical Engineering. Since childhood I like operating different machines, I thought to get more technical knowledge of it and it took me to choose mechanical Engineering. As I live in North Maharashtra, I wanted college in North Maharashtra University. RCPIT is the only college in NMU which is A grade affiliated college by NAAC committee. RCPIT doesnt conduct any interviews or private entrance exam but they take students with good score in CET exam of 12th std.

Mechanical is the core branch and college also believes in giving us practical knowledge . Hence different industrial visits are organised ,college also inspires us to participate in events like BAHA, Aero-Designing and Nexus etc . College has made Project Based Learning (PBL) compulsory for every student where students have to research things which are yet to discover and that's how we gain practical knowledge. Faculty helps us wholly in all programmmes mentioned above. Overall an engineer with extraordinary skills is being built inside us.

College doesnt provide internship but mandatorily they make us to do 3 internships in our 4 years course. My internship experience was outstanding. I learnt a lot about marketing through it. My stipent was 2000/month. Average stipend we students get is 1500 INR.

Our college has very good placement ratio. Around 60% engineers are placed every year. Companies like TCS,Amazon, Siemens,Bostche, Wipro,Crompton Greeves etc visit us every year to hire quality engineers. Average package is around 3.5 lakhs. We get special training how to appear interviews right from first year of engineering through the subject called Soft-Skills.

All Non-Technical events are conducted under a committee called MECA. Camps like blood donation, tree plantation are organised every year by it. Also college inspires us for social work and every year we donate something to society like old cloths, books, shoes etc. 'Converges' is the big event organised inside college in which different technical events are conducted. Even other colleges can also participate in it. College authorities help in getting permission for event and also funds money for attractive organisation.

All Govt schemes are available in college hence students under catagory take advantage of all related schemes. Open catagory students with less than 6 lakh annual income(of parents) get benefit of EBC scheme through which they have to pay only 60% of total fees. Remaining fees is paid by Govt to the college. Being an open cast student, I paid 60,059 INR.

To top 3 students from every branch ,college gives scholership. Topper gets rs. 1Lakh cheque . 2nd ranker gets 50k INR cheque and 3rd ranker gets 25k INR cheque. College helps in getting educational loan.

After collge hours, students get chance to explore their talent . Faculty is alloted for different sports, dance, music and guitar. They are quite friendly and prepare us for the annual event which is in February every year.

I live in hostel. I share my room with 2 others. They are from same course as of mine. We dont have PG but Rectors. 20K is our fees and 10k deposit. We get quality food in hostel . Even our College Principal take hostel food as lunch so that the quality of food is maintained

Alumni sessions are organised for students. We have special auditorum hall for it. Once in a semister we get to interact with alumni's.

We have to give 4 Internal exams per semister but that doesnt make us tired as we have been habitual to it now . Also it reduces our study load for the University exam.

All faculty members are minimum ME in respective branches from renowed Institutes. Half of them are Gold medalists and that makes them very skilled and extra ordinary. If we have any issues with their teaching, we can make Principal aware of it through Feedback form in which we have to mention qualities as well as things we dont like about individual faculty. But they have been very interactive with us and are are available for us rven though we call them midnight for doubts related to their subject. They owe huge respect from us.
