- I liked the hostel facility too much , because we get personal room from 1st year which is very rare in other college .
- I liked library also , it is fully air conditioned and the atmosphere is very good there.
- I liked the professor because earlier i was thinking that professor are very rude but it's not.
Dislikes
- I don't like the induction process in the clubs , like in bits pilani there is no induction process so student get knowledge of those clubs also which was not in schools .
- we have not hockey playground , so we have not team for hockey in inter IIT.
- the lawn tennis playground is 1.5 kilometers away from hostels , it should be near sports complex.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for this course because I was getting only two courses here, one is civil and the other one I chose. faculty-student ratio is 1:4. faculties are highly qualified one of my professors is from IIT Kanpur and one is from IIT Delhi. In one semester we have mid-sem and endsem and it's not too difficult to pass that exam if you attend class properly and regularly. my many friends got a backlog in many subjects because they were not serious about exams.
Internships Opportunities
there are many startups that come for internships. the big companies give a stipend of 1 lac also. One of my seniors got an internship in I, another got into Goldman Sachs, and one got into Google. We have to make at least 2 projects for it. there are many roles for software developers.
Placement Experience
In the fourth year, students are eligible for placement. many companies visit our college some big names are Goldman Sachs, TATA, Google, Wipro, JIO, etc. In the year 2023, the highest package was offered to a CSE student, and that was 62 lac. The average package of our college is 25 lac and of the CSE branch is 32 lac, electrical: 26 lac, mechanical: 22 lac, metallurgy: 19 lac, civil: 17 lac. THE placement percentage in college is 95% of the total student who applied for placement. I am in the core branch whose placement is not too good, so I will pursue higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
If you are a student whose family income is more than 8 lac then you are not getting any fees remission so you will have to pay 1.4 lac per semester where 1 lac is tuition fees and other are distributed in mess, accommodation, and another lab, gymkhana, etc. But if any student has a family income less than 5 lac and more than 1 lac then he will get 2/3rd of tuition fees remission and if a student is of sc/st category or has a family income less then 1 lac then he will get full remission of tuition fee. There are many scholarships are there and one is merit cum scholarship which the top 1% of total students in one batch get who scored well. I am currently a second-year student so I haven't got a job till now so I can't tell too much on this.
Campus Life
I have spent 1 year in this college so I would rate it 8 out of 10 in terms of college life. On the one side, there are many fests and other curricular activities but on the other hand, we have to focus on studying also because here I have seen too much competition in academics also. we have Fluxus as an annual fest and it is conducted usually in the month of February. We have a huge library which contains almost all the books which are required for academics. Classrooms are fully furnished we have projectors in the classroom and they are fully air-conditioned as well. we have different classrooms for the theory part and tutorial parts. If I talk about sports there are many sports that are played and each sport has its own club. for exam chess, cricket, football, table tennis, lawn tennis, kabaddi, volley ball, basketball, badminton etc. We have many clubs here, which are run by students for exam CFA club, programming club, astronomy club, dance club, drama club, Prakriti club, and many more.
Admission
first of all, we have to prepare for the Joint entrance exam. there are two exams we have to give first is JEE main and second is JEE advanced. To give Jee advanced we have to qualify Jee main and we have above 75% in the 12th board. We can find the application form at JEE's main official website for jee main and for JEE Advanced there is a separate JEE Advanced website. The application fee for Jee's main application form is 650 rupees and 2800 rupees for jee advanced application form. As I am an obc category student so I got a metallurgy branch in IIT Indore at 15k rank. As I think the admission process is nice and no difficulties were found.
