Remarks

The college Library is very good. It provides all sorts of reference books. There are aqua guards. The lecture theaters are air conditioned. It's one of the best experience in the campus.

Entrance Preview

I wrote wbjee. (It's neet UG now). Landed up by the counselling process. No interview just the admission procedure. Wanted to be the white coat physician and treat people.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is good and a bit lengthy. Practical learning for me is better than only theory. Yes taken. The district's family welfare projects in community medicine.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college provide an internship. It is a part of the course. It's good as heard from seniors. I haven't done it till now. Average stipend amount is like 15 thousands.

Placement Experience

After completing the course people usually do house staffship. Almost everybody gets placed. No company visit the campus. All get government jobs those who wanted. Average package is more than 20 thousands.

College Events

There is cultural fest. Spandan and roshnai. After from that other festivals are also celebrated. Average footfall is more than 500. Organization and college authority contribute well .

Fee Structure And Facilities

Per semester it's ₹4500. Hostel fees ₹12 / month. For University exam fees depend on number of subjects attempted. Maximum being ₹2000.

Yes. No I didn't avail any. No since it is a government organisation.

Campus Life

There is gym. There is cricket, football, badminton tournament. Yes. The facilities are good.

Hostel Facilities

Yes hosteler. Single rooms are mostly for Pg students. Most of us share rooms. Fees ₹12/ month . Food is good.

Alumni/Alumna

Interaction with alumni is good. Yes they do provide. Yes they do contribute in overall development of college as well as students.

Exam Structure

We have regular exams, semester, items,parts, University exam. It's okay. Doesn't leave me tired.

They are well experienced. Pretty much interactive. They clear our doubts. And guide us the best path. Both theory and practical standards are good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite well maintained till 3rd year but the final year syllabus is too vast to complete within 1 year. I feel duration has to be increased a bit. The process of acquiring knowledge entirely depends on the individual pursuing this course as there is no spoonfeeding as in other courses.

Best medical College in west bengal

Placement Experience:

If you can pass the exam that is very tough to pass if you're not serious at all, you'll be able enough to get into any nursing home or you can start treating people staring your own clinic. After 4.5 years you get the internship program that is mandatory to do for all where you get a salary of 32000 per month which is highest among all states . If you manage to be in the top 100 students of the batch of 250 you get one year job in the same hospital with a fees of 50000 and just 48 hours duty per week. If you do nursing home you can get around 70-90k per month based on how much you spent time on work .

Review on Burdwan Medical College

Initially, I got admitted into Bankura Sammilani Medical College based on the WB NEET UG counselling results. But in the second round, I got the chance to upgrade BMC which is closer to my home and so I chose it. It is one of the older colleges in WB, established in the year 1969 and has one of the largest campuses in the state. My admission was done in the first week of September 2017. As I had already got admitted to BSMC earlier, I just had to transfer the documents and the overall admission process was smooth and not very time consuming. It is MCI recognized and a renowned college in our state. The college is overall good and has provided good memories of the time I have been here. However few improvements are still possible. Infrastructure can be improved a whole lot. Beautification of our college has been going on for some time and it has already been improved from what it was when I got admitted here 4 years back....Read More
