All about IIT Roorkee

The course curriculum is very interesting and it includes many real-time projects that come with true learning. There are 13 faculties with 36 students. The exams are not that difficult. They are held twice per semester.

There are many internship opportunities available and companies offer a wide variety of job roles. Some renowned companies include Adobe, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, etc. The stipend offered is very good ranging from 50k to 2 lakhs.

The placements are great with an average package above 20 lakhs per annum. There are quite good companies coming to the campus. More than 95 per cent of the students get placed with good packages. The highest package goes to 1-2 crores.

The fee structure includes 1 lakh tuition fees per semester and other accommodation charges. Many fee waivers are available for the students, including fee waivers for students who have a family income below 5 lakhs per year.

There is a very good library with thousands of books and a large study area. There are more than 20 technical groups and more than 10 cultural groups or clubs. There are all sports facilities including cricket, football, table tennis, lawn tennis, etc.

The hostels are very large with green open areas. There are triple, double and single sharing rooms in the hostels. The mess is quite decent offering meals to the students thrice a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Admission to the college is done through JEE Advanced. To sit in JEE Advanced one needs to sit in JEE mains and clear it. The clearing cutoff for the general category is the 90 percentile. Then after giving JEE Advanced the admission is done through JoSSA counselling.
