I got a seat at the National Institute of Technology at Jamshedpur. my branch is engineering and computational mechanics. it's a new branch and I found it very interesting. the subject we have in our branch is unique from other branches.

We get many internship opportunities here at the national institute of Technology Jamshedpur. most of our seniors got internships. placements are also great. it is one of the best colleges to join if you want good job opportunities.

Placement Experience

Placement at the national institute of Technology Jamshedpur is very good the highest package is 88lpa and the average is between 12 to 25 lpa .jamshedpur being an industrial area has many job opportunities here.

Fees and Financial Aid

Coming from a middle-class family my parents face some problems regarding my institute fees. being an sc student more than half of the fees are not required to pay. there are many scholarships, financial assistance, and campus jobs.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is up to the mark. the best part is the annual functions and the fests of our college. there are many clubs. the library is good. classroom is better than most of the nits .pur college has many websites.

Admission

I cracked jee mains with 84 percentile. I studied in a govt school until my intermediate. I belong to the sc category. I got the branch engineering and computational mechanics at the national institute of Technology Jamshedpur. I got all the details about the application form from josaa website and from my college where I have completed my 2nd yr. Reservation has helped me a lot in getting into this prestigious institute.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
