NIT jsr review

I choose this course as I liked machines and their working and also due to their high placement percentage in Jamshedpur NIT. Decent faculties are here who will support you in any way possible. In my branch, there are 20 girls and 100 boys. Qualified faculties are here with decent teaching methods mid sems are done after 3 months and end sems after 6 months and exams are difficult to pay if you don't study.

Many companies come for providing internship opportunities like tata steel and tata motors. Various projects are also given to us like we got a minor project on wastewater management systems. we had to make a presentation and create a report.

From 3rd-semester internship opportunities are available for students in our college. Companies like tata steel axon diesel come for providing internship opportunities. In my branch, the highest placement is 20 lakhs per annum and avg package is 12 lakhs per annum. In my branch, 98 percentage of students get placed. I will give GATE exams and gets a job in PSUs.

Tution fee 60000 per semester, Hostel fee 18000 per semester and Mess fee 16000 per semester. Various scholarships are availed like FFE and various state scholarships. Remission of fees is availed for economically weaker sections.

Cultural fests and our tech fest 'OJASS' happen every year in March. Many books and journals are in the library, one can go and read it at any time. Good air conditioner classrooms are there. A sports fest called URJAA is also held every year. There are various clubs for extracurricular activities, like a singing club called ROOH, modelling club called INVICTA etc

Single rooms are provided from 2nd year onwards. Good rooms with one wardrobe one table one bed and one balcony is provided. Meals are decent and menu is fine with veggies in day and non veg at night at alternate days. Registration for hostels is easy and affordable.

Admission is done by jee mains score. I got 25000 ranks in jee mains and through josaa counciling I got mechanical branch. First, apply for Jee mains exam conducted by nta whose application form is found online and after scoring a decent score apply for josaa counselling online. After all the counselling rounds and getting the desired college, we have to do the reporting in college, in my case, it was online, due to COVID cases. Reservation benefits are also availed for OBC, EWS, SC, ST, PWD, female quota, DASA, etc whose details are found online on nta website or the josaa website. For availing reservation benefits, caste certificates should be made under specific conditions like after April and should be certified by the Central government. Two-third fee remission on tuition fees is also available for students whose family income is less than 5 lakhs and full remission is available for students whose family income is less than 1 lakhs on tuition fees.
