Remarks

Nice college overall (best in the university) but you will have to find your own ways to survive and excel. The best experience of my life came through my college days, as most of us feel college is the place where you get to explore new dimensions of this world learn a lot of technical aspects related to your selected course, but also aspects of life and how to face the challenges in ones life. In my College, I was able to flourish most of my personality as a human being I am today.

Entrance Preview

My admission to this college was through MHT-CET score and through the online CAP rounds for Engineering Colleges. There is no interview for the admission. I chose mechanical engineering in this college as I was interested in this field and also this branch was accredited which made me sure that it was going to provide good education.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course I chose was Mechanical Engineering and I still believe it has much more to offer than I actually learnt in this college. Most of the focus in the university and the college is in theoretical approach which makes the subject boring and tough. I am not particularly satisfied with the education I got in the 4 years but ofcourse few subject taught were exceptional which I might not expect from any other college as the experience and knowledge that the teachers here have is immense.

Internships Opportunities

No internship provided by college and it doesn't even encourage internships during the educational 4 years. (Pathetic).

Placement Experience

1

The placement makes you cry. There is very limited placement, but if you prepare yourself for it you can very well be placed. Major company was Vedanta with about 6.5-8.5lacs package but only 6-7 students were placed from whole college. Rest of the companies were average and the package was about 1.5-2.75lacs average.

College Events

3.5

There were numerous cultural and technical fest throughout the year that made life happening in the college. But to get the contribution from the college the students had to work really very hard.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course costs about 98000/-Rupees a year. And if you want the hostel facility it would be about 40000/- rupees more. I Personally fee that the college charges more than it provides, according to other colleges in the surroundings or else it is ok.

Campus Life

2.5

Yes there is a great opportunity in the sports field in this college as the university is new there is less competition and you can make your way to the nationals easily if you are good at your game.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is nicely maintained, it is based on double sharing. The cost was about 40000/- per annum and the food there was really nice compared to the outside.

Alumni/Alumna

There was rare interaction. It needed to be more.

Faculty

4

The faculty is very experienced and highly qualified, with about 5 Phd holding lectures in mechanical engineering branch itself. The faculty is interactive and helps you whenever you ask for it. But the course itself needs to be synchronised with the modern world, its very outdated. The teachers mostly use old techniques to teach, except a few ofcourse who are unmatchable!

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources

The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.
