College building DJ LHC is great place to study providing you environment. LHC is fully Air conditioned which will definitely make it a better place to study during summer

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not upto the mark,college need to work on that and college is currently the are making a hostel for first year.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is the same as other NITs, the grading system is credit-based and not Relative grading. For the first 3 years you will have exams in your 4th year you will be given a project on which you will be given grades. Faculty here are qualified and good but some faculties are not up to the mark.

Class Size: 99Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is 8 lakhs for 4 years including mess and hostel charges. There are many financial assistance provided like fee remission. If your family income is less than 5 lakh you will get 2/3 fee remission and for a family income less than 1 lakh you will get 100% fee remission which is easy to get and approved easily. Almost everyone who applied got fee remission.

Campus Life

There are 3 fest organized by the college URJA annual sports fest, OJAAS annual technical fest, and CILULFEST cultural fest which will be a great experience for the student. Recently culfest was organized in which sherni serial and trap band were a part of which made your evening remarkable. There are many cultural and technical clubs in the college which provide you a great exposure.

Admission

Admission is through Jossa and csab counseling. You need to qualify to jee main to appear in this counseling. Application fees are to be submitted after seat allocation after seat confirmation you will be called for offline verification after which your college journey starts.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
