NIT JAMSHEDPUR Insights!

I choose this course because my percentile was a little low so I preferred the lower branch as its placement is too good. The faculty-to-student ratio would be 1:10. Most of the professors are PhD holder and the way of explaining the concepts are too good and appreciable. After every 2 months we have mid-exams and end exams for a particular semester, so we have a total of 4 exams in one year and the difficulty level is moderate.

There are plenty of internships offered by big companies like Amazon, Deloitte, and Qualcomm to students with a pretty good amount of stipend. There are many projects which are in progress like the making of new hostels for both boys and girls. the hostels would be completed in the upcoming 2 years.

From 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies visited this year for campus recruitment which included Atlassian, Adobe, Amazon, Nvidia, Ola, Paytm, and many more. There were 750+ offers made. The highest package is 83lpa and the average ctc of college is 15.98 lpa. Companies were mostly interested in the SDE role. Overall 98.87% of students are placed. My plan is to work with a big tech giant in the future.

As NIT Jamshedpur is a government college so the fees are manageable as it costs for a general candidate 7 to 8 lakes for 4 years. If your fam income is less than 5 lakh either it is any category you would get 2/3 tuition fee remission and if your family income is less than 1 lakh then full tuition fee remission and for SC/ST candidates full tuition fee remission. Many scholarship availability is there in college.

Our annual fest is named Culfest and is held during February or March and our tech fest name is Ojass and is held in the month of April. There are plenty of books in the library. All the classes are fully centralized AC with a sitting capacity of 120 students. There are a lot of sports clubs and cultural clubs and technical clubs in college to keep you engaged and exploring. Top technical clubs are Phoenix, Innoreva, Drift Racing Team, Revanta, and many more.

The admission process moved in a very smooth way starting with document verification and waiting for hostel allotment. To take admission at NIT Jamshedpur one has to clear JEE Mains with a good percentile. There are seats reserved for category students in the college. One improvement is that the admission process could take your whole day so colleges should look after time management.
