Likes

The placement of this college is the best thing I like.
The sports facilities are also good and there is every sport club for ever sports
I also like the faculty they are good and supportive

Dislikes

The thing I dislike is the infrastructure but I think it will improve a lot it coming years years
There are also less food stall present in our college but the food stall that are present is providing good quality food

I choose this course because it was the best option according to my jee main rank. There is a total of 175 faculty and most of them are PhD scholars most of the faculty is supportive and their teaching is also good the term exam is quite tough compared to other universities

Internships Opportunities

The student is eligible for internships from the 5th semester. Many big companies visit the college. They provide good internships to students. the company that provides internship are Amazon, tata steel etc.

Placement Experience

The college is well known for its placement and it might be the best nit for placement. Every year 250 companies visited. The highest offer was 81 lpa and avg is 16 lpa. 100 % of students get placed this year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee for the entire course is around 8,50,000 but you can avail scholarship and there is also fee remission available, Every year around 250+companies visit our campus for placement and the placement is good

Campus Life

There is a cultural fest held every year around January and tech fest Ojass and sport fest urja are conducted. The availability of books in the library is good but not top notch but you will find every book accordingly to the subject. The campus is spread over 371 acres and has a hockey ground, football ground, badminton court, and basketball court. There are various clubs also which will help you to grow

Hostel Facilities

The room is good and for the first year there is double occupancy and for the second year it is single occupancy and the Hostel is very good. The food quality is also good but sometimes it is bad and sometimes it is very delicious. The registration form for hostel is also very easy

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

The application form was on josaa. The addmission process is very good and easy to follow my addmission process was very smooth and easy, I don't think that there is any need for improvement in the process it is already good and easy to understand.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
