Likes

Classrooms and the acadamic building are too good.
Fee structure is less when you take fee remission
Students are from variety of states and hence environment is good

Dislikes

Boys to girls ratio is too low which is a bad thing.
Teaching style of professors are bad and exams are bad too

I chose this course because it has good placement. Faculty to student ratio is good enough. Facilities are qualified but some of them lack the skill to teach. Exams are timely and it is too easy to pass.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is less if your family income is less. There are scholarships like e kalyan and fee remissions. There are various state scholarships too which make the fee eventually less. Fees are not a headache.

Campus Life

There are 3 annual fests which are Urja, the sports fest, culfest and Ojass the annual technical fest. Books in the library are plenty. The classrooms are too good. Sports and extra circular activities are good enough.

Admission

It is a good college when I talk of placements. Infrastructure is not as good as expected but a few things like the library and academic building are good enough. Internships are being provided by the college but in our branch, the percentage is low but the placement percentage is very good. I think it's a good college if you are aiming for placements and overall development.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
