The curriculum is set by ICAR which is followed by OUAT. The faculty is great. Always ready to help the students. There are a total of 16 departments and each department has 8-9 Professors. Each semester consists of 6 months with one semester and one mid-term. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate.

There are 2 industrial internships and 1 rural internship RAWE- RURAL AGRICULTURAL WORK EXPERIENCE. You can also opt for other internships such as NITI AAYOG. Moreover, each year students are selected for IDP where a selected number of students are sent to the U.S. for an internship, and funding is done by ICAR.

Placements come in the final year, i.e., 4th year. The average annual package is 4 LPA but students usually prepare for government exams like AAO, ASCO, Seed conservation officer, OCS, and UPSC. I am preparing for UPSC.

There are two types of seats. General/Free seat- fees are rs18000 per year, Cost sharing- rs78000 per year. There are various scholarships that you can avail of if you meet the criteria such as ICAR scholarship, medhabruti, Ouat merit scholarship, prerana, and other central scholarships.

There are many functions held all year round. Apart from that Agri Unifest is organized every year in one of the SAUs across the country. The central library in the university is the one where you get all kinds of books you might need. The classrooms are all air-conditioned. There is an athletic club, drama, and literary club. The gym is available. Basketball court, Tennis court.

Yes, OUAT has an entrance test for which you have to qualify. You can also enter through ICAR. The application is released around February or March. The weightage is calculated as 25% of the 10th score, 25% of the 12th score, and 50% of the entrance score.
