IIT MUMBAI- Great chance to explore the world.

There are no remarks about my college. I am glad to be here. Till now these 2 years were the best part of my life. The infrastructure was good and we have all kinds of facilities required for an engineering student.

I wrote JEE Mains and was selected for the JEE Advanced. In the Advanced exam, I got 341 ranks and applied for the counselling. There is no interview round. After the deceleration of seats, we need to go to the nearest IIT for the certificate verification. I always have a passion to do computer science engineering at IIT Mumbai. It's my passion which brought me here

The course which I choose was Computer Science And Engineering(C.S.E). The course curriculum was good. In the first year, all the students have the same subjects. From the 2nd year onwards the core subjects will be introduced. In the first year, we also have the chance to select the optional subjects of our own choice.

My college provides internship for final year students. Since I was in my second year I have not done any internship. But my seniors said that it was a remarkable experience. This helps to get exposure to real life situations. The average stipend is 15,000 to 25,000 INR.

My college has the best placement record among all other colleges in India. Only one or two get packages in crores. The rest of the students get average packages only. The companies like Google, Microsoft, TCS, KONE, etc come for placements. The placement cell takes care of-of the campus placements and they are well managed. Almost 100 %of the students get placed and one must remember that skill and talent plays a major role.

The one thing that I like the most about my college is the events. Mood Indigo and tech fest are held every year and many students from different colleges across India come here to participate in these events. This gives us a chance to exchange our views and ideas with our peers in different colleges.

The fee structure is normally 2 lakhs per annum. But there is a fee concession if the student has a caste reservation and a low-income certificate. The fee is affordable for rich and poor families. But middle-class families face a little problem because they neither come under rich or poor.

There are no scholarship facilities offered. But we get loans from the banks.

The hostels were maintained well but the problem is that they are not so spacious. The food also tastes good. Our mess serves a variety of dishes. The hostel and fee cost about 80,000 INR in addition to the tuition fee.

Our exam culture is chilled and doesn't create panic among the students. There are 2 semesters per year. There is a maximum weightage to internal marks rather than external. Hence it is easy to score well in exams. we have many labs in a week. Every day we have at least 2 labs.

The faculty is the one thing one must research before joining a college. My college faculty are the best in every aspect. Let it be interaction or teaching, they adopt their own methods. My college faculty have years and years of experience in teaching and their standards are very high. Many of them wrote many research journals and books.
