Remarks

The college is good overall. But the placements are needed to be hiked, cause it is one among the very imperative aspects for anyone while choosing the college. Rest is all good. Great all around. The campus is mammoth & overwhelming. Good college infrastructure as well. Good teaching and cooperative faculties. Also the non-teaching staffs like lab assistants & keepers are always ready to lend a hand. The students are friendly.

Entrance Preview

I'm a diploma holder student. I applied for the cap round process for the degree admissions in the colleges of Mumbai, Pune & Nashik. I always preferred Pune university for education because of its high standards & many other things. I landed up in this college as I was allotted this college in the cap round so I confirmed my admission here. I was thinking about a few other colleges but didn't succeed to make it. There wasn't any interview followed. Considering my interest & background I chose this course.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is pretty good. The branch aims well to provide ample practical learning to students and hence is designed accordingly. Yes our college do support the research initiatives & also works on it. A senior faculty of the college is working on the waste water treatment plant along with the students of BE.

Internships Opportunities

No the college do not provide an internship. We need to do that on our own. I've completed one 2 years ago, when I was in diploma. The experience was so knowledgeable, we got to learn things we could have never got through the books. There was no stipend,as we entered just for learning intent.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement is mediocre. That was the only reason I was thinking about a college that could give me better placements. The chemical branch is the newly opened branch so the placement is turning good n good day by day. The percent student got placed was around 60-70%. The major recruiters are the mechanical and IT companies that are Tech-Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, Godrej and many. The average package would be 4 lakhs.

College Events

5

Technical events & the cultural fests are held annually. Those are the most frolicking & favorite days at colleges. Everyone enjoys a lot, strives to work hard to be highlighted at the performances. These events are huge, the average footfall would be 2 to 3K. The college authorities takes good care at such occasions that no one other than the college campus students can infiltrate inside.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees relatively are less than many institutes. The fees are around 80K annually. It is less than many other institutes of the same standards.

Fees and Financial Aid

No the college do not provide any additional scholarship. But the Samaj Kalyan Board do provide a scholarship. I do avail that. The college just verifies and certifies officially the documents for educational loans through bank.

Campus Life

5

The institute is very well in extra curricular activities along with the academics. Technical events are held under the guidance of technical secretary and the sports events are held under the guidance of sports secretary. Everyone gets enough opportunities to explore their own talent. Some funds are provided by the college to the participants for organising the events well.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No I don't live in the college hostel. We reside at private hostel, as they are relatively cheaper & hence affordable. The college hostel rooms are on sharing - 2 to 3 students in a room. They might be giving single rooms, I don't know about that. But the hostel is well maintained n clean. The hostel fees are quite high, the upper amount is 1.2 lakhs annually. The food is good enough.

Alumni/Alumna

The college lacks over here. We very rarely get to interact with the alumni or alumnus. Yeah we do sometime get to do that, but that's a real rare thing to happen. We do have alumnus interaction on our own, but it would have been a great thing if institute provide a platform for the same. The experience of the alumni helps us in relating our current situation to the corporate world.

Exam Structure

The exams aren't that frequent. Yes but sometimes we do feel that, "this exams wasn't to be held, the last exams were just a week or two, ago... Practicals are good, it make us learn the exact thing which an engineer is supposed to learn. The exams are chill cultured but disciplined.

Faculty

3.5

The faculties are well qualified. Some them are newly arrived or recruited one's. Many among them are good at teaching and sharing knowledge, a few lacks a bit at some things. The faculties are master degrees holders or more. They're Very well interactive, shares good knowledge, inspires to do productive things. Many are good at relating things to living world. So the standard of teaching is good.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
