Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum was great. My course is data science as data science is one of the most important and evergreen branches. I always loved to analyze data so that why I choose this course. The faculty members are very supportive. They have good qualifications M.tech and high degrees, In a nutshell, the faculty members are very good and supportive.

There are various internships offered 100% placement is done. The highest package is 21.6 lacs in Ajeenkya DY Patil University, Pune. Various companies visit the college for campus interviews.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for B.Tech is 2 lakh 30 thousand. You get a scholarship for the 12th mark. We get the scholarship bases on the 12th mark. There are no hike policies or costs to study.

Campus Life

There are various programs and fests for the students to show their talents. The tech events cultural events concerts and a lot more. There are different libraries in the college regarding the specific course. There are proper classes. The extra circular activities are given importance.

Admission

The admission process was simple they saw the mark sheet of HSC boards and the result of the CET exam. We don't have to give an entrance exam. The application form will be given by the counselor who will properly explain the course.

Interview Experience

There was no group discussion. The admission process is very easy as this is a private university, there is no entrance exam for pursuing the course. There are no rounds or interviews but yes the counselor helps us to get the best degree of help you will choose the domain.

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources

My experience of iiit pune

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.
