What Students Say
Likes
- As the college is autonomous, it tends to and respects the change of curriculum time to time, which indeed is applicable as soon as it is approved so this makes the current syllabus industry ready.
- There is plenty of things in tha campus for students like big grounds, canteen, club house, swimming pool(currently closed), etc, enough things which will keep one engaged.
- Good infrastructure not that old and construction for the new is going on so it is nice
Dislikes
- The canteen is not up to the marks it is ok'ish, their are options outside college.
- Not sufficient parking, somedays are just crowdy one might suffer for parking(it is improving).
- There are very less seating arrangements for students outside classes like on ground and all.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this college as it has Btech degree and are very relevant to industry standards, even if they have a lower placement rates(as heard from seniors) that thing depends on the student, but as of know i felt that it still needs to improve some syllabus in first year but still it's fine, we have specialised subjects from 2nd year, we have 60 marks end sem exams for 2 hrs, 2 exams in the semester for 20 marks for 1 hr and one midterm about 50 marks, papers are made and checked in college itself. Overall good experience.
Internships Opportunities
Interships are encouraged from first year itself which will help a student to have a personal growth interms of work experience. They offer you different interships for different language courses like java, python. Some of them have stipend, some of them have curricular profits .
Placement Experience
As told by the admission coordinator they claim 100% placement, but heard from seniors that they have some criteria for eligibilty for placements. The average package is somewhere arround from 4.5LPA to 6.5LPA and highest last year was 21LPA so it is decent. Their companies like Infosys, tcs, amazon, for decent recruitments in the campus. My plans after degree is to work for 1-2 years and then pursue master degree abroad.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees For My course Btech CSE(Software engineering /cybersecurity) is 3L per year 1.5L per semester. There are no scholarships on the basis of reservation, but for those who have scored above 90% in boards or someone who has there parents in army/police. And there scholarship for those who score above 8-9 CGPA in first year.
Campus Life
Campus life is quite good, their are some or the other events, festivals going on every month, major events are impetus and ablaze which is a one week event about sports like cricket, football, kabbadi, basketball etc and technical event like hackathon, chess, etc. And other festivals like Dandiya garba nights, different kind of fun shows are happening all year along majority of them are free. Their are several clubs they also have there events hoing on.
Admission
I didn't apply to any other college than this cause i had some friends in this college, so i had a clear vision about the college and i liked the courses they offered some of them were just available in yhis college in whole pune, other colleges had a little stricter criteria, in this college you need 50% in your boards and 50percentile in any entrance exams present like JEE,CET etc, if you don't, then you have to give and entrance exam mcq based for the next process of personal interview which is compulsory for all then once you are selected you have to pay some token amount then your admission is confirmed.
Faculty
Majority of the faculty are PhD holders, other are Either pursuing PhD or have immense knowledge about their fields, they are very supportive some are very strict but they know our limits so they are also nice. Their are some faculties I didn't like in sem 1 but they are not in the next sem so let them be, the curriculum is not hard but no easy also, you have to get into the lectures and notes to crack the exams their are several students who failed the end semester exams this semester so it is tough, you hardworkd matters.
Interview Experience
They have personal interview where they ask you to introduce yourself and ask some information about your academics, and then they also ask you questions related to your syllabus you studied in 11th-12th and that's all.
Night Life
I don't live near college but at night there is quite pleasent vibes around in college we have a personal hill top for students called ajeenkya hill top, There is canteen named D'cafe which is decent canteen there is gym also for hostel students their are several grounds for outdoor sports and campus is big enough.
