This course has a wide job opportunity. Salary increases with your experience in the field. You can work in various star-class hotels around the globe and on cruise liners too. The faculty: student ratio is around 1:20. All faculties are well-experienced hands in the field, hence they provide proper practical training too. The teaching method is excellent. Proper theory and practical classes are given according to the syllabus. A good library is provided for reference. The course comprises four years with eight semesters. Examinations are conducted in a timely manner as per the norms of the University (University of Kerala). Subjects are easy to pass however it depends from student to student.

We can go for outdoor catering also in the third-semester industrial exposure training of six months is included. Apart from that, no internship opportunities are available. Also, a detailed project report on the training needs to be submitted and a main project (dissertation) on a topic related to the industry needs to be done for the successful completion of the course.

Students are eligible for attending campus placement drives in their last semester. Based on their performance candidates can even get job offers during their on-the-job training in the properties they are being offered job exposure training. The college has a dedicated placement cell that ensures the participation of reputed firms for placement drives and offers extended support to students until they are placed. Mentoring and mock interviews are conducted by the placement cell for ensuring 100% placement. The students can get placed in various departments ( F&B service, food production, house keeping, front office,etc) of their choice in different properties. The properties the students get placed purely depend on their knowledge and expertise in the field of choice and their performance in the interview.

Fees are approximately 80000 per year additional costs for the project, assignments, and on-the-job training will be there. Fee concession is available for eligible candidates, both through government subsidies and from the college management side. The outdoor catering works remuneration is approximately 600 per day and for on-the-job training it's monthly around 3000 rupees, however, it varies with properties chosen for training.

Annual arts and sports meets are conducted usually in the month of November and December. Also, food festivals and other similar programmes are also conducted. Students of final year are given full opportunity to conduct these types of programmes under close supervision of faculties. Clubs like environmental, agriculture etc are run by students. NSS is also available. Various social responsibility programmes are also undertaken by students. Eg. No Drugs campaign. Alumni groups are also active which even helps in the placements of candidates.

No entrance examination for admission. Admission notifications will be available in the media. Application forms are available from the college. Fees were around 80000 per year including semester examination fees. Reservation including fee concession is available for eligible candidates. No donation, a caution deposit to be paid at the time of admission which is fully refundable on course completion.
