Remarks

The security is very advanced here. You forget your i-card and there is no entry for the day. The main campus, as well as the library and hostel building, has NFC chip readers and fingerprint scanners (coming shortly) to avoid entry of the outsiders without any slip or permission. During the time of even semesters, there are way too many fests and cultural activities, try to stay away from these if your main focus is your studies. Also, everything in Amity is relative - from the class viva marks to end semester final SGPA and the year-end CGPA.

Entrance Preview

Admission to Amity University B.Tech programs is based on the Amity Joint Entrance Examination (Amity JEE). It is a Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted by Pearson VUE (for Amity) and will be held in various cities across India and abroad. For courses other than engineering, a candidate needs to fulfil different eligibility Criteria set up by the Selection Board for a particular Subject.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is good and well designed according to the semesters and is very useful to the students, but some courses like Foreign language are made mandatory which are not accatable by most of the students, which decreases the value of main courses of program

Internships Opportunities

Internships are a must for all engineering students and the university encourages the students to get one from the first year summer holidays. While there are still In-House projects to be done, you must look for internships and report back to your teachers. In the final year, the university helps out in getting the best internships by recommending companies like HCL to let them hire you.

Placement Experience

3.5

Wipro, IBM, Capgemini and HCL are the primary recruiters for placements which are compulsory for all students. The average salaries range from Rs 3.5 LPA to as high as Rs 12.5 LPA. There are two phases of placement sessions, one in each semester of the final year. Around 70% of the batch gets placed in the first phase and the remaining in the second. The university makes sure every student is placed at the end of the year.

College Events

4

We have college fests every year, the name keeps changing. The level is medium, we have a lot of sponsors as the name Amity is big enough for people. We also have good bands and celebrities coming during our celebration days. Our convocation is of large scale and is carried out as per international levels, having long parades and all.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee for one semester is around INR 70000/-. Scholarships are also provided to the students on the basis of their percentage in 12th class. The fees are not too high as compared to some other colleges, so education loans are not much needed but if it does, they can easily be availed from a selected range of banks which can be found on the college website.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the benefit of prospective students at AMITY, the university has tied up with premier nationalized banks Oriental Bank of Commerce, Canara Bank, and Allahabad Bank. Both banks give the following advantages to students applying to AMITY. Cover all courses offered at AMITY. Include all tuition fees, books cost, hostel fees, airfare for courses abroad. Concessional rate of interest is given Speedy disposal of loan applications. Availability of the loan across the country.

Campus Life

4

Amity has under its umbrella a wide range of activities apart from education that underlines its vision of nation building. Amitians are always at an edge with their counterparts owing to the well-researched curriculum and a host of extra curricular activities that lead to a successful professional as well as personal development.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hotels rooms and big and clean. Provides all the facilities for the comfortable stay and it cost around 1.50 lacs per annum excluding the food cost. Food cost will be around 8000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors are amazing and very friendly, with the Anti-Ragging policy in place, the junior-senior relationship is good. As a journalism student, one of our alumni is a movie actor, Himansh Kohli.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is pretty good. We have eleven subjects spread out over the course of twenty days. Enough time to prepare for each one, without it being too hectic.

Faculty

4

The faculty team is very good and have a complete knowledge but students have to force the faculty members for teaching. Classrooms have all arrangement of smart classrooms and they use powerpoint so that the student can understand easily. Overall, French faculty members are too good and they have an adequate knowledge.
