Jee. It has a great campus and it conducts the best college festival "alegria" in Navi Mumbai. The college is quite close too Panvel station, thus convenient travelling.
Course Curriculum Overview
Indian education never focusses on research part. What only matters is the textbook knowledge. It doesn't much help practically anywhere. Hence the course curriculum is similar in every college. There might be a minor variations.
Internships Opportunities
No. You might hardly find. That too only for Streams like information technology and electronic and telecommunications. Hardly for streams like mechanical and automobile.
Placement Experience
Same as above. You'll get some good companies for information technology and electronics and telecommunication but Hardly for mechanical and automobile engineering. Rarely you'll find a company or two. There are a lot of companies for information technology and computer science
College Events
Since multiple courses are available here each have their own festivals. One for the commerce, one for MBA one for engineering, one for BSC. Mutual one is the alegria. Which is the biggest throughout Navi Mumbai. Conducted in the month of February. Great artists like nucleya, Farhan Akhtar, honey Singh, Vishal Shekhar and many more.have performed already
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is a bit expensive. But not way too much. Considering all the things you get here, it is worth it. The annual fees per year comes to around a lakh per year. Hostel facilities are available. Which costs additional. Around a lakh. Hostel rates may vary depending on the room type
Fees and Financial Aid
Not sure of the exact details but yes the loan facilities are definitely provided to the students. The details can be collected from the college office.
Campus Life
There are many workshops conducted in the college, Every year. There are also many cultural societies. There are also many student associations here. many provide various workshops, for example - robotics. Also various courses like solidworks and autocad.
Hostel Facilities
On a scale of 1-10, I'd rate it 3. Hostel rooms are good enough. But the food is not good. It's hard to manage. Many student live in the hostel for a year or two and then shift to a flat on rent nearby college. The boys hostel is way too far from the college, However girls hostel is just adjacent to the college. No transportation facility is provided.
Alumni/Alumna
It's always fun within the campus. The serious are great and fun. They involve the juniors in many activities and programs too.
Exam Structure
It's neither hectic nor chilled out. You'll have lectures and practicals each day. Two semesters per year. Not all subjects would have practicals though. Some have and some don't. Some have presentations. Some subjects have vivas and practicals at the end
Admission
I completed my HSC and gave the jee entrance exam. Got the admission through the online cap round. Got selected. Submitted the HSC marksheet and SSC marksheet and seeked admission
Faculty
The faculty of the college is just the moderate. Some are quite qualified some are not. Some are very much experienced some are not. Some know to teach some don't. Similar to other colleges, Pillai institute of technology is no different. .
