Remarks
Like I have mentioned before and know my review heading I had a wonderful experience there were a few ups and downs but at that time ours was a new college and the ups and downs were meant to happen. But as far as I have the updates all is well now.
Entrance Preview
I took MP PET for getting my admission into engg. I don't remember my score as it's been more than 10 yrs since my exam. I had no particular reason to pick the college except the one that I wanted Electronics and Communication.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was good and as it was designed by a higher governing body so it was same for all private colleges in the state. It included both there and practicals. But what I felt after completing is the course lacks the amount of practical knowledge provided. The higher body which in this case is the RGPV university should focus on that a bit more.
Internships Opportunities
I don't think I understood the question correctly so will try to respond in two ways. If it means internship in the college then I would say no. Internship placement then yes but in my course we didn't need to do that and so don't have the further details.
Placement Experience
During my time as the college was new the placements were not that great and the officer was kind of dull. He showed a lot of potential but was not able to realise any of it. But now it's pretty great. I hear a lot of companies coming and good number of placements being done.
College Events
There were lot of events conducted in my college including the annual technical festival, the annual sports festival and the annual cultural festival. All these events were at a grand stage with focus on full participation from each and every student. These events also involved students from other colleges. Apart from this we had celebration for festival and national days as well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was above average but considering the wonderful campus and the imptoving facilities it was ok. The fee included the transport fee which most of the students didn't like but as far as I am concerned it was great to have that facility.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are provided by the college and by the university based on certain set of rules and qualifications. But I was never able to avail any of it and I didn't fit any of the criterias.
Campus Life
The campus life was good and I enjoyed every day of my college. We have a grand campus that allows you to wander freely and enjoy the beauty around it. As far as gender ratio is concerned that was variable as it was on the students to select the college not the other way. Like I mentioned before we had a lot of cultural and other events that gave everyone a chance to showcase their talents be it sports or arts or educational. Everyone's talent was given a stage to perform.
Hostel Facilities
As I was a local boy having my residence in the same city I never used the hostel or the hostel mess facility. But I had a few classmates that used it. As per their experience it was average as most of the hostels and mess are. The charges were also as per the service provider and so it didn't make much of a difference.
Alumni/Alumna
We have a very good alumni network as now everyone is doing something or the other in their lives. The college keeps on trying to connect everyone with at least 2 gathering every year.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is well designed with two exams every semester. One the mid sems and the end sems. The mid sems were the responsibility of the college and so the dates and structure used to vary. End sems are decided by the university and so a fixed structure. I wouldn't call any of my college experience hectic even not the exam and labs and lectures.
Admission
After clearing the entrance exam, every one had to go through the admission counseling process which didn't require any form filling. Everyone had to be at the centre on a given day which was decided according to the rankings and then you get to select the college.
Faculty
The faculties were good. Being a new college at that time but still managing to get well educated and interested faculties was appreciable. Though some were not that great but you get a mix of good and bad at all places. The overall combination of faculties, their skills, their knowledge and their ability to impart know was great and it helped a lot.
