Remarks
The college is probably the best in the city placements and job and also academic wise. Great for sports like basketball and football and a huge ground (full fledged with pitch and grass) ground for cricket.Lot of opportunities are provided, you just need to be smart enough to grasp on it. The only small problem is infrastructure is too plain. It's not bad, it's too plain. Great and strong build but looks boring. We also have snookers to play in campus.
Entrance Preview
EAMCET, my rank was 26k. I opted for this college because I heard it got the best placements than any other college in the city, also great academics.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure is good and also workshops are conducted regularly so as to get the exposure of the subject. Also we have lab sessions for the subject so as to get the practical knowledge. Alongside that we are assigned with assignments which we have to do and submit to the lecturer. This helps us get involved with subject so as to get a better understanding of it for the present and future use of it.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internships only to those students who got placed in companies. The company it self with college permission take the students for their project and provide internship.Other students have to take permission from the head of the department or the placement officer because they check if the internship is valuable or not, if it's valuable they grant us to do it and provide attendance.
Placement Experience
The placements and job opportunities are great. The best in the city. Many companies like Amazon, Voonik, Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, M&M, TechMahindra, CA Technologies etc., Come every year.. the basic package is 3.5 lakhs. The highest being 26 lakhs by Amazon taking 5 students. The jobs start with service jobs and go up to Development which is highest paid.
College Events
We have department wise fests regularly happening and a final college fest called 'Ciencia' every year. It has the annual day. Sports events cultural and traditional days and events. 3 day technical fest with students across the city participating. Also we have a DJ night.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college fee structure is very simple. They don't cost us much. The college fee for us is 65,000 rupees per year (including 2 semesters). The fee is collected after the semester has started and give us a time of UpTo 1 month to pay it. No special charges, only the tuition fees will be present. We also have the facility for buses as college is far from city it's convenient to travel in bus which costs 19,000 rupees per year I.e., for 2 semesters. The cost of fee is very less compared to other colleges whose fee ranges from 90,000 to 1,35,000 rupees.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are provided every year in the college. For those who are aspiring for the scholarships have to apply for it and there are some requirements for it like having 65+ aggregate no backlogs etc. They provide 50% of the fee.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is about 8:10 I.e., 8 girls to 10 boys. Workshops are almost regular with all departments. Every month we have at least 4-5 workshops. Students are present from across the state and few from other states too. We actually never found gender disparity, the person who is more talented gets more opportunities. No religious bias, in fact our college provides 2 buses for Muslim students on Friday for afternoon prayers to go to mosque. Economic status as most of them are well to do. We conduct sport events regularly both for boys and girls, labs are up to date with excellent machines and computers with latest and licensed softwares. Many soft skill competitions are also conducted.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel building is good with decent amount of facilities provided. There are separate hotels for boys and girls. Boys hostel is inside the campus whereas the girls hostel is outside the campus with security provided for them. The food in the hostel is decent as well providing South and North Indian cuisines and also non veg 2 days a week. The hotel rooms are clean as well and free Wi-Fi for everyone in the hostel. Maintainence is good as well.
Alumni/Alumna
The college seniors are very helpful and are very interactive too. They helped us with certain decisions about subjects to choose. With their supervision conducted fests and workshops and other events. Even alumnis were great meeting us sometime or the other from different companies telling us how to get ready and how to get better.
Exam Structure
We have 2 mid terms in a semester with 2 months gap in between them. For every mid term we have lab internal for the subjects in which we have practicals(labs) which will be evaluated for 25 marks. After the we will be having lab externals where the external examiner will be present and Viva will be taken. Lab external slots are given beforehand. That will be for 50 marks each subject. Finally after a week or 2 we will be having semester exams and will be evaluated for 75 marks. The internal marks will be added to it and finally making each subject for 100 marks and labs is 75 marks each.
Admission
After EAMCET exam after a month we got the results out and later we had counselling and after that certificate verification, in which we were given centres for it where they verified our certificates and then we applied for colleges online depending on our preference we had to choose the colleges and the courses offered by them. Later after the process got completed we received a SMS from the college that admission is confirmed. We had to pay the fee for confirmation and attend the induction.
Faculty
The faculties are great with all the professors with PhD and assistant professors taking PhD courses under the supervision of the professors and head of the department. They take a lot of interest in teaching the students and every 20 students is assigned a faculty for mentoring and counselling. They take real time scenarios to explain well.
