Course Curriculum Overview

In b.com (Hons.) Students' strength in each class is up to 100 and they are only two sections in the Department of Commerce Amu. All the subject teachers are Professors in their particular field or subject. Exams conducted are semester wise and sessional and end-semester exams are conducted.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 4350 per year

Placement Experience

Last semester students of b.com became eligible for applying to various placements and opportunities. The university is having common training and placement office for all those stuff. The percentage is so low that if 300 students have applied then only 3 or 4 students are to get jobs in better companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike is rarely seen in University courses and fees are very low because of the central university. My overall 3-year course was around 18000 only and at end year fees were 4345 for which, I've applied for an up Scholarship and got 7395 as a scholarship from up govt.

Campus Life

Annual fest in the department are rarely organized but all departments of the University organizes common fest and events like, Literary fest, Science fest, Financial week, Classrooms are good as containing smart boards and fall ceilings and some classrooms also have ac installed.

Admission

The eligibility of the course to get admission in b.com(Hons.) is to secure at least 60% marks in class 12th. Must have opted for the commerce stream in class 12th. Application forms are available on the website of amu controller.

The course curriculum is good but only theoretical, it does not prepare you for real world challenges, since bcom is a general course but still acts as foundation of every Commerce students career ladder, the decision for opting it is correct. AMU was amazing!!

At AMU seats are fewer and number of students filling the forms are enormous. Hence, the cut-off is always tol high and for BSC in any stream a minimum cut-off is over 80%. In my time it was 83 for Maths Hons and I guess, I was lucky enough to get it....Read More
