Remarks

Overy now college had improved a lot. I think most of my cons have been taken care. And this college still hold good for new joining.

Entrance Preview

I have joined in 2001 through payment quota. I was more interested in Electronics and communication engineering. Which they have,So i have opted this college to join.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum was good and in depth of technology. Requires improvement in Library facility and other stuff. I think over a period of time they have already improved. Faculty was okay.. Not so great. Few of them are excellent. They are very technically strong and having very good communication skills.

Internships Opportunities

I have not experienced it. And i m not sure about it. I think there may be some. We need to check with Local students and can comment on it properly.

Placement Experience

2.5

When i was there in college during 2005 time frame. there were no campus interviews. We struggled off late and placed in good organizations. Job opportunities depends on how the student performs at the end of the day or at the time of the interview. College can only teach him/her.

Fee Structure And Facilities

45000 was the fees for payment seat during 2001-2005. Bus 800 hostel 1000.. If i remember correctly

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Food was very bad at the hostel. Not all hostels were good. some of them were really bad.

Exam Structure

Exams were very rare.. other than semester times. no normal exams for practice. No proper lab exams.. it was kind of chilled out. Apart from that during semester time.. faculty use to help the students sometimes.

Admission

Met one of the trustee member at some designated location and procured the documents. Paid some advance to them and joined at the college. They described about the college and its curriculum in detail which was impressive. Also they described about the facilities and amenities provided.

Faculty

3

Faculty was not that great. They were okay. Some of them have very poor communication skills. Some of them are really good at everything. good at technology and communication. Some are kind of bihearting the concepts and some are naturally they are great.

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

Companies visited to our college for recruitment are like TCS, Accenture,Zenus, Infosys etc Average package in my college is 8LPA and the highest package of this year is 25LPA. Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
