Odisha JEE. This is the first college in India to provide BTech in Biotechnology. The faculty are highly recognised in academics. The campus and it's facilities are awesome.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is in line with BPUT university. Focus is on research and development activities. I remember we were working on Bio diesel project at that phase of time. The projects are well monitored by the faculty in charge an proper guidance is being provided time to time.
Internships Opportunities
No, it does not provide internship. For internship, one has to try by himself. Anyways, this is not a big issue. The best part is the college is surrounded by lot many of companies.
Placement Experience
80% placement they provide. However, they are part of lot many off campus held in all parts of the country. The average package is rs 300000 p.a. also, sessions are being organised periodically to help the students appearing interviews. Students who wish for MTech or PhD , it's a perfect place to pursue.
College Events
All sort of cultural and social events are celebrated. Techno fest are being organised in a periodical basis. Most emphasis is on industrial tours in nearby companies. Also, some of the employees visit as guest faculty to make us understand the practical aspects of any business.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Approx 500000 for 4 yrs. It might have changed. I don't have a present update on this. Most important part is if you wish to enhance your knowledge more,you can buy extra bulky books or else can depend on libraries. There is always a competition in the library for good books.
Fees and Financial Aid
I haven't heard of any scholarship being provided by the college. Except if you are a localite and have passed from the nearby school with good academics and coming from a economically backward class.
Campus Life
Gender ratio: 60:40. No domination by any student or group. We used to have a society which helps in avoiding or encouraging anti social activities. Female can walk around the college without any resistant. The management understands and encourage equality in gender.
Exam Structure
It's a twice semester per year. Monthly internal exam- theory and practical . The exam structure is in line with BPUT university. Total 8 semester which includes 16 internal exams and practicals to be completed in order to complete the course. Exams are a bit tough and lot of hard-working required to clear.
Faculty
Highly qualified and experienced faculty members. The faculty are more dedicated to help us in making us understanding the concepts. They even walk forward to the library to make us understand the logic or fundamentals. Sometimes they Encourage weekend classes to discuss out of syllabus topics.
