Course Curriculum Overview

I have to choose this course because there were no seats left in CSE as I was told by the college staff that I can apply for CSE after completing my first year in IT. The faculty is very friendly and supportive they will give every possible help to students. the faculties are well qualified but the teachers are not much updated about new teaching methods. The semester exams are unexpected sometimes but the checking is very lenient.

Placement Experience

The campus placements are done when the students complete the third year, and many companies visits every year. like TCS, IBM, and Amazon the highest package is nearly 45 lpa and the average package is 4 lpa. Every year around 80-90% of students get placements from colleges campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for one semester is approx 47500 and the hostel fees are 110000 for one year. There is a chance that you can get some financial relief by applying for admission through PTU official site where you have to show an EWS certificate and Punjab residence certificate which will cut your fees by more than half. there are almost no job opportunities on campus before 6 semesters.

Campus Life

The college conducts an annual fest and many other events one of the most popular fest is the Parivartan fest where students from other colleges participate it is held near September every year and events on tech or gaming sports are conducted every week.

Hostel Facilities

There are 4 hostels 1 for girls and 3 for boys you can take 2,3,4 seater rooms in which they will give you an air cooler, bed, wooden almirah,4 chairs, and some switchboards. The food served in the mess is not good sometimes and the menu changes every week.

Hostel Fee: INR 110000 per year

Admission

The admissions start in April through online supplication forms. But if you want to avail some kind of reservation like EWS where your fee will be much more less than others you have to apply through the PTU website because the college comes under Punjab technical university. Otherwise, through college online application, it can be also done.

Placement scenario is good and it is improving since then. TPO looks after this process and it is responsible to call comapnies to the college and discuss about the eligibility of the students who can appear for the placements. For internships, students in the 3rd year appear for it while for placements 4th year students can appear. The average package is approx. 8-9 LPA while the highest has gone to 64 LPA during my college duration. Almost all students get placement.

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

College does provide a decent number of companies to students to get placed but as per seniors Companies come with good package but students fail to grab them. Students are eligible for placement form 7th semester. As data given to us from t&p for this year currently the minimum package is 6 lpa and average is touching 8 but don't get excited it's just the starting months of placement season. My plan is to get a good college for post grad as that was my plan from the start ??
