Remarks

Totally concerned about student's career and academics. could have increased some space for creativity and innovation. Cold have allowed students for doing research projects and provided time and space for it. Teachers should have broader practical knowledge other than just completing the syllabus.

Entrance Preview

There was no entrance exam, it was via common counselling process, that is anna university counselling, my cut off was 186.5 out of 200, and my total marks were 1085 out of 1200. I chose this college because it had great placement records.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It was mostly theoretical and had less scope for research. The course structure was good with covering core papers in Computer science, including data structures, algorithms, operating system, networks, computer architecture, artificial intelligence.

Internships Opportunities

No college doesn't provide internship, but few companies that visit college would require their hires to intern with them during final year of college. We do intern with those companies for stipend ranging from 5000 to 15000.

Placement Experience

5

Placement and job offers were really great. We had product based and software based companies. Apart from that we were also taken to off campus to other colleges for few companies. Packaged raged from 3 lakhs to 10 lakhs per annum with average being 4 lakhs per annum.

College Events

0.5

We had national level technical symposiums for each departments conducted annually. We also had technical workshops and national level conference conducted once in 2 years. Apart from that we would also have sports and cultural festival. We would have inter department competitions during sports events. we would also visit other colleges for symposiums, national conferences, sports and cultural events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was feasible and too expensive, I paid about 62000 every year. The tuition fees was 32,500 per year and renaming was collected for books, placement training and other stuffs. We felt that books fees was little expensive, other than rest were good.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, i have not availed any and i'm not award of any scholarship / loan facility offered by your college. i have not have availed or have good knowledge about any such loans or scholarships. I got educational loan from bank to pay the fees. I'm aware of only that. College would expect payments only via demand draft and it should be a full payment.

Campus Life

3

campus life was average and good actually. We can spend quality time with friends. We have good gender ration, it was almost 50:50, labs and sports were there every semester. There were few workshops and hackathons where students can participate. In mechanical, electronics and computer science symposiums, there were competitions related to robotics and debates. they were really good.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I did not take hostel, i came from home but from what i have seen and heard it was good. I'm not aware of hostel fees as i did not stay there. Food was not that good, it's a big drawback. We had to adjust, we talked to management and changed food contracts few a times but it didn't work out well too but food cost was very much affordable.

Alumni/Alumna

No, we were informed that we would have alumni network created by college, but no initiatives. We meet seniors and stay connected via social networks. they were really helpful in guiding us towards career and higher studies.

Exam Structure

Exams were very well structured with appropriate timings and schedules put upfront at the beginning of the course. We would have to do labs every two days in a week for practice and had one model exam before the actual practicals exam. It was really helpful to gain a bit of practical knowledge.

Admission

As i chose the college via anna university counselling, i had to take the confirmation form given by anna university to the college, where they confirmed the seat and gave the admission forms to fill out. Once we filled and submitted the form and paid the fees, they would intimate on when the course would start.

Faculty

3

They had great knowledge on the subject they handled but few lacked practical knowledge and that didn't help do research projects during the course. Also less exposure to outside competitions that happen which would boost our career and gain knowledge.

Placement Experience:

B.tech students will be eligible after they complete their credits before the 3rd year and usually that is the period during which they will be eligible for placements. For integrated M.tech it might be after the 4th year in 5th year, they could get a year for internships which is good for students. This might be considered as my interest in this course. The placement is around 95 percent. My plans after getting the degree is to become a highly skilled person and to get a job in google. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc place our campus. There are no such companies that visited and made no offers.

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.
