Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is set according to the needs of the industry. As I was admitted in 2020 I didn't have the chance to get the benefits of NEP. The faculties here are good, I choose this course because by seeing the scope of this field as it was one of the emerging fields. Some of the faculty were PhD holders while the rest were M.Tech graduated The term exams were conducted accordingly, and it was easy to pass

Placement Experience

3

It's not mandatory that if you are in the 6th sem then only you are eligible for the placement drive. If you have enough skills in coding then you can showcase them and ask the TPO cell for the placement drive. usually, the placement drive in our college starts at the end of the 6th sem The average package you can include is around 3-4 LPA I don't the exact no. Of the companies that visit our college. But companies like Wipro, TCS, and Infosys are sure

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees when I got admitted were around 85-86k per year but now for the juniors it has hiked to around 100k per year. We can get the benefits of a scholarship, we can apply for ssp scholarship and expect around 20k per year .other minorities can apply for other scholarships also.

Campus Life

2

So life at the campus is somewhat boring ( if you don't make any girl your friend, just kidding. Life on the campus is not the same as which are shown in the movies. We have a Nirman i.e., fest every year. And also they conduct freshers' and farewell parties as well. Not all but almost all books are available in the library of the college There is a sports corner in the college where they allow only when we have sports day during fresher or farewell. At the time when I was studying, whenever we had leisure time and if we go to play in the sports room they didn't allow us instead they used to say go and study

Admission

The admission to the PDA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING is via K-CET, COMEDK OR JEE I got admission through K-CET and my K-CET ranking was around 19-20k the cut-off is not too high if you have a decent ranking around 30k, you can get admission easily. The application form will be provided by the college when you go for admission.

Placement Experience:

Last year due to recession the placements were low comparatively. From semester 7 onwards we are eligible for campus placements. I do not exactly have the correct statistics, but all the students who tried outside got the jobs easily. Highest package 32 lacks and least goes upto 3 lacks per annum. Last yearpercentage of students placed is 66 and before that it was more than 90 My plan is to get a good job, after the degree and if I cannot get a good job then I will go for higher studies abroad.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements by the start of the 7th semester, and the internships by the 5th semester. Since Mangalore has many MNCs, most of the campus drives start with those companies. We have an average package of 18LPA and it varies according to each branch of engineering. Mostly all the computer science-related branches have 23LPA as their average and the core branches have 14LPA. Almost 95 per cent of the students get placed. The highest package has even crossed 50LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As the computer science was booming and also beeing an aspiring student towards that field I had decided to do CSE. The curriculum is was less practical towards the real world applications. They should have include industry professionals to teach they would have better knowledge and experience. Every one we used to have exam like mid term , FA, and end terms. Difficulty depends upon prepration level done by student.

They are eligible for placements after 4th semester and the placements are average, a lot of companies have visited I can't say them all ex like Infosys, TCS , and a lot of American and Taiwanese companies, the highest place ment in this campus was around 28lpa and average is around 1L and the percentage of students getting placements are below average like every other college cause this mostly depends on you and not the college its all based on your skill set. My plans are to get a job with a good lpa and I'm confident about that because I have a good skillset which would benefit the companies.

If talking about the placement placements are good companies like Wipro or Amazon and many other companies will visit the campus but the ratio of selection is less. So little bit hard work is required or else around 60 to 70%. Students are placed from my college in every year.
