GTBKIET College Review

All was good education,staff,lab work,facility,sports and hostel but only bad thing i have noticed that is placements.

I have not appeared in any one of the above mentioned examinations.I have took direct admission in the college. I do not want to stay away from home thats why i am searching a college which will be nearby my hometown. This college was just 35 km away from my home town and daily bus service is available for the college.

Course was excellent,as i was new in that field first year i have not an idea what is engineering,but in second year i was able to learn new things and ideas, which made me perfect in my field.After passage of time i have learned so many things from my teachers.An engineer can be anyone but a good human being very less in numbers.

No college has not provided my any type of internship,but i participate in power lifting championships in inter college tournaments,for which college provide me training and other help.

As far as i talk about the job opportunities and placements which is quite difficult. Because college was in very rural area and far away from any airport.So no any company visited our college for any placements.we have to go to Chandigarh for job fest.

We celebrate each and every festival in the college.We celebrate the holi and Diwali the most . republic day and 15 august also celebrated in the college.Frequent events were going on in the college.Such as college festival,athletic meets,religious programs.College try to cover all the festivals of all the religions.

Fees structure is flexible,and feasible,College provided us the concession in fees and we have to pay the fees semester wise.college gave us the flexibility to submit our fees till the examinations of the semester which is around 6 months for each semester.

Yes there is Punjab national bank inside the college who provide the loan facilities to the college students but i have not opted any loan plan. I submit my fees in the college semester wise.

My class has strength of around 110 students in 2k5 cse batch from which around 35 are girls.most of the students are from nearby stations.All the facilities were in the hostel but some extra facilities provided on request such as geyser cooler ac etc.

I have not much about the hostel facilities because i have not stayed at hostel because i usually up down from home.I have visited the hostel many times as most of my friends were outsiders so they have to stay in hostel.Food was not bad not good,you can say at average.

Alumni meet was held in 2011 where we have received our degrees. senior students are attached with us though social networks such as Facebook twitter or whats app. Today no person have time to meet friends or seniors so they talk over social networks.

exam structure was good ,we have 3 internal exams and one final exams in the period of six months.the internal is calculated based upon our internal 3 exams.best of two was counted for final internal marks.it worked in semester wise and the result is announced after 3 or 4 months prior to the examinations.

I was refereed to college by my uncle who is a teacher in that college from past 5 years.He told me that i can take admission directly to the college for minimum amount of fees .College is run by a charitable trust so that they can give concession in fees also.

College was established in 1997, and most of the staff was experienced one.But in 2005 when i took admission in my college the staff taught us mostly was our seniors.But they are good in knowledge and guidance for the different phases of life.They make us a good human being too.
