Remarks

Some points are good, some are bad. We get a lot of opportunities for developing and diversifying our overall knowledge. We are also encouraged by being rewarded when we achieve something. The teaching quality is also good. But tbe ad points are, they flood us with their regular assignments and home works. They say to learn something apart from the syllabus, and then at the same time they steal our time for that. And the teaching is outcome oriented, not concept oriented. We should have more time for ourselves rather than putting all our brains in completing the damn home works like a child.

Entrance Preview

I took Pre Engineering Test (PET) in which I got 146 state rank. I opted for this college because it is only college in our locality which provides better education and opportunities for students than any other college here.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I am currently pursuing Computer Science Engineering in BE. The course is very relevant to the topics and well coordinated with the semester of students. We study about programming languages, basics of computer systems and basic digital electronics. We study everything which we need to, throughout our course.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, this college provides internship. The stipend is not always applicable. Some interns dont even get it. But if you ask an average, I would say around 3000. I dont have any experience because its my 3rd semester and we are not eligible yet to go for internship through the college.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are better as compared to other colleges. Big companies like TCS visit us and many get selected too. But overall I would say average. Because the package is not that high. Companies come, visit us, meet us, ask us, analyze us, and finally assess us to draw some conclusion. They say very few are extraordinary, rest all are average. Many of them get jobs, but not a satisfactory package.

College Events

3.5

Our college celebrates numerous events. The biggest techno cultural event is BIT-OJAS. We do a lot of fun and masti and also participate in many cultural and technical events. Then there is bit-con, the annual conference. The guest lectures are also very informative which happens in the higher semesters and in management sections.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. It is relevant to the teaching we get here, and after all it is not a government college so not to expect much. I got a scholarship which ceased my tuition fees so I need not worry about the fee anymore. The fee is around 35,000 for engineering students per semester, as of 2017. It is high for a middle-class family like us. For MBA students, the fee was around 30,000 in the year 2016.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, I got a scholarship based on my PET performance and annual salary that was called the tuition fee waiver scheme. In that my tuition fee was completed erased and the only fee I had to give was of miscellaneous category. So the fee of 35,000 became only 10,000 for me for each semester. Also, the fee I age at the time of admission was also refunded after the 2nd semester.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is good. There are many plantations and greenery so it feels cool and soothing outside the blocks. The gender ratio is also good. Girls actively participate and flourish in many activities. Extracurricular activities are nice. Tbe sports facilities provide many games like cricket, football, tennis, badminton, table tennis, basketball, etc. We take part in debates and presentations. The robotics club and astro club are also present. Many technical events like quiz, paper presentation, technohunt, debugger, braindots and many more are very interesting.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities are ok. They are not up to the mark as the frequent power failures and water problems are very irritating. The rooms are not that big. They are congested and we often get suffocated in the summer season. The mess food is not good. They dont cook it well and the utensils are not clean. The pulses are like water and the chapatis are not fully cooked. But we can manage at our level for some time, the mess.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very supporting to us. They actively show their interest in knowing their juniors and participate in our activities. Their interaction with us is also very good and they organize and help us in many registrations and give us information about many events to be held by them or any other person.

Exam Structure

Exams are hectic. We have to give class tests very often and we also need to attend remedial classes and RE CT if we get less marks. We lag behind in other activities due to this. We complete and pass one exam, the exam will be waiting eagerly for us. We dont get time for any other extracurricular or technical activities. We cannot study all they want in the time they give us.

Admission

I went for the DTE counselling sessions where I was asked to submit various documents relevant to my academic and personal details. Then I got a notification that I am selected for the branch I opted for the same college at the first attempt. Then the college called me for the admission procedures. I was asked to bring many copies of many documents of my school transfer, and performance details. It took around 3-4 hours for the whole process to complete. They checked my documents, attested them and took my signatures and photos and some payments of admission. Finally I got admission after paying the fee and getting the receipt.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is average. I would not say good because they focus only on course completion and not on content quality and diversification. We are supposed to learn, not understand. They don't encourage us but they entertain us. Some teachers are very talented and well-acquinted with knowledge. But some are not up to the mark

Placement Experience:

We can do internships after 1st year and 2nd but for the placement it's in 4th year. The training and placement cell of the college has work consistently to bring reputated companies like a TCS Wipro Infosys LNT Infotech etc. the medium package for uses students is like 4 lakh per annum and PG students was about 4 to 5 lakh per annum. However when compared with some of the top tile institutions the package levels and placement percentage highlight the student themselves me to bridge through internship of campus drive and additional certifications. Another noticeable trend is that placements 10 to be more favourable for the branches like computer science and information technology where are School branches of an face lower absorption rates which is common in many engineering colleges. But here off campus placement are really good

Placement scenario is so good as per the stats . Like students are eligible for placements from there 7th sem . No. Of companies visited is around 200 (guess). Offers made 600(guess) . Highest package is 65 lpa , and average package is 9 lpa there are major two roles one is core engineering get role and other is non core data analyst role . 86 % students are placed last year . My plan is to get good placements from college itself and then after experience I will go for MBA or higher studies .

Internship for the third and final year students, but not paid mostly. Placements are very few, don't expect placement from any government college in Chhattisgarh. Work on your skill. Companies like Adani came for placement for Mtech mining students. Highest package is of 3.5 lpa, He works in Bangalore. Other students do master. I am working in my skills and I will try for off campus placement or I will go abroad for master or job.
