As it was an new institution in Odisha which help not only the students of Odisha but also student of India in developing their knowledge.

Entrance Preview

First of all this is not an college it's an Central university which The Central University of Orissa(CUO) was established by parliament under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (No. 3C of 2009) by Govt. of India. CUO every year conduct an entrance examination and I have secured 70 out of 100 mark and also I opt this university because it was new and it's give a challenging way of learning.

Course Curriculum Overview

As a student of Social Science I can say it is the one of the best universities which offer a good course structure which focus on research. They provide a complete pack of bookies as well as field related documents which help us to understand our subject matter. CUO also conduct various seminars and workshops for betterment of the students in their time framework

In present sinario our university also provideing internship programs on some of the discipline they are giving 6-8 thousand for a month no TA DA was provided by University

In recent time no campus selection was available in our university but various students are Are placed in various reputed colleges and also in various state and central government agencies and also universities also planing to sign MoU with various national and multinational companies to bright and secure placement of the student

In Central University of Orissa we are always celebrated all of the main events which was organized by both students and administrators. We also celebrated annual foundation day in the month of August. We also celebrated the cultural programs also celebrate holy 15th August, 26th of January and also many more

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

As a student of social sciences and as a research scholar university provided its research scholar with a monthly payment of 5000 for all research scholar in the name of Non net fellowship. Lone facilities are not available in our university

In our university most of the students are girls. University conduct workshop and seminars. Our campus also knows for 0ragging campus

Hostel Facilities

Central University of Orissa also provides its students with hostel facilities for both boys and girls they are differently situated in the campus. Food quality of hotel are average and it can be improved. Both boys and girls are given separate rooms both hostel have the capacity of 200 bodder from boys and girls.

Senior students are most helpful when we need their help they are ready to help us they treated us as like we are their small brothers we also respect them as they are our younger brothers

Exam Structure

The programmes are organised on the semester pattern and Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). The academic year consists of two semesters of 15 to 18 weeks each. July-December is the Monsoon Semester and January–May is the Winter Semester. The entire syllabus of a programme is divided into a defined number of courses (papers) with sub-units as per the UGC norms. On the basis of continuous and comprehensive evaluation process, the prescribed credits are evaluated. The examination system of the University is designed to test systematically the student’s progress in class, laboratory, and field work through continuous evaluation. Students are given periodical tests/quizzes, assignments, seminars, term papers in addition to the examination at the end of each semester. The final result in each course is calculated on the basis of continuous assessment and performance in the end semester examination. Students have to attend three mid-semester examinations per semester in each course, out of which the best of two shall be considered for the purpose of calculating the result of continuous assessment. The record of the continuous assessment will be maintained by the School/Department/Centre.

Admission

Central University of Orissa every year conduct an entrance examination in the month of may and June. Applicant have to fill up their form through its official site CUO.ac.in after that they will called for entrance examination than a merit list was prepared based on the entrance examination score and also than called them for a viva voice test then selected candidates again called for admission. When we come to our faculty side I can say we don't have any power or capability to judge them but they are very co-operative they are the treasure of knowledge when ever we need their help they are ready to help us 24x7 all faculty are highly qualified and knowledgeable to not only to their course but also to other discipline also

Admission:

I’ve scored good merits in my 12th which is about 75% and then I found that we have to undergo through the entrance exam. Then I have applied for the exam and also scored above 50% of the scores in entrance and found that we must score 50% will be from 12th percentages and 50% from the entrance. After all i have joined in this college

Admission:

The students who are willing to apply for this college must undergo the exam conducted by the college management and also the college takes in students on the basis of merit ie on the basis of the 12th percentages. 50% of the scores are taken from entrance and the other 50% will be from 12th percentages. Combining these both merits the collage management used to make a list of students merit.

There are many positive points of the Government Autonomous College. Like the well experienced staffs, The large campus, the resourceful laboratories. The wide variety of books present in the library. Seat capacity of the hostel present in the college campus.
