Likes

Academic seriousness practical knowledge and well equipped laboratory
Faculty qualification and attitude, teach well
Hostels are good and affordable and hostels organize lot of festival celebration

Dislikes

The city is a bit less developed but in just one year i saw its development increase alot
The campus is not very very pretty as shown in movies etc
Too many exams and a little bit more competition to pass

Course Curriculum Overview

I want to be a doctor so I chose this course exam are held Every alternate month, the first-second term then prelims finally University. Exams are Quite tough to pass, Anat and the physio dept make 20-30/200 passes. Biochem passes around 100/200. But it's better as you need to fight for your eligibility. For instance, I passed every subject in every term.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Sc/ st avail a lot of scholarships here. Nearly half or no tuition fees. Also, EWS from the state quota is beneficial. But completely zero benefits and scholarships to GEN/EWS/OBC from all India quota. Stipend comes from the 5th-year internship.

Campus Life

There will be numerous WhatsApp groups run by and for students. Here. Groups about social work and ngo. About abvp student union. Clubs are many, photography club and an Instagram page. Writing club. Music club etc

Hostel Facilities

The boys in the first year are not allotted a hostel and thus need pg and rooms outside. Girls get a hostel from the first year itself. "Civil lines waghapur road government college, 445001, YAVATMAL" exact locality.

Eligibility is Neet Rank under 619-610 all India round 1 and round 2 cut off for gen, EWS and OBC for Admission is required Round 3 Rank goes upto 605 for gen EWS and OBC and for Sc st round2/3 around 450 Maharashtra state 550-580 usually All details for years 21-22 First-year fees for the whole year are 1.5 lac around Smooth admission process

I had applied for all government colleges in Maharashtra for MBBS. According to my cutoff I was not alloted a college in first round but was alloted SVNGMC Yavatmal in the second round. The allotment did not change in the third round upon which i confirmed the college. I got admission to SVNGMC through hilly areas criteria via the NEET UG exam. You have to qualify neet and secure a good rank. The admissions are conducted by the state CET cell. And for all India students the admissions are done through all India quota. Cut off is not so high but you have to score definitely good marks in neet. By looking at the last two years data the minimum marks required for getting into this college will be around 580 in neet fir general category.
