Course Curriculum Overview
AMU is a reputed university, and studying at it is what many students dream of. B.Voc in fashion design is a very new course started 5 years back approx. It has a good curriculum and foundational subjects. The faculty is really qualified and also helps us whenever we have any issues with the syllabus.
Internships Opportunities
It is a new course which started 4 years back approx. in this university and thus it does not provide any internship from the college to the students. But with a good portfolio with the work they have done in college could land good internships.
Placement Experience
As it's a new course, there is no campus placements as of now. But they do provide a list of companies to which students can apply. Although regardless of not having campus placements all you need is a good portfolio that will help you, in getting your dream job.
Fees and Financial Aid
Although the fees for the program are very affordable for almost everyone. Also, there are so many scholarship opportunities offered by University and the government itself for women students who cannot afford them.
Campus Life
The university is quite big with a huge resource center, which any student of any department can access through a student id or library card. There is also a huge cultural club that organizes various events and competitions with certificates.
Hostel Facilities
As this B.Voc program was new in AMU, it does not have its hostel building and thus does not provide hostel accommodation to B.Voc students. But there were many PGs near the university that students can look for.
Admission
The admission process is quite long. As there is a lot of paperwork to be done, completing it online and submitting forms in various departments. The entrance exam is pretty easy and will include both GAT & CAT questions. There is only one written round, no GDPI or Interview round.
Interview Experience
For the entrance exam, there is only one round which is written and no further rounds like Group Discussion or Personal Interviews are done. Written exams consist of GAT (Maths, GK, aptitude, etc) and CAT(Drawing-based).
