Course Curriculum Overview
I am doing Btech ( CSE ) here and from my three-year experience, I can tell that the faculties are very supportive here whether it is academic or nonacademic, they will help you in every means. Every faculty is well-educated and has great experience in the industry. Most of the faculty have their Ph.D. degree and the rest are pursuing their Ph.D. In my batch, there are total G sections and each section has 64 students which are further divided into 2 groups. Every classroom has a smart board and whiteboard too. The examination is held twice a semester, Mid-term examination and End term examination. 75% attendance is strictly compulsory. The only thing that I don't like here is they teach many additional subjects which are of no use at all like Environmental Studies, Biology, disaster management, etc. instead of these if they focus on teaching a subject that is placement oriented can be better than those useless subjects.
Internships Opportunities
The Companies that come to the college includes Unacademy, Byjus, Wipro, Nagaro ,etc at various posts like Security enginner , SDE, tester , etc. This year one my senior got a package of 25LPA in Unacademy for security enginner post. Every company have their own way of selection. But overall, every company takes 3-4 rounds to select students. First is the Aptitude round followed by the second round which is the Coding round. The third round is the Technical interview and the last one is the HR round. After that, it will be decided whether you are eligible enough or not for this post.
Placement Experience
The placement is good. Many companies came here for campus placement. The average package is around 6LPA. and the highest package is as I know 48 LPA. The companies start coming from 3rd year itself for internships and from the very start of 4th-year placements start. Some of the very famous companies that visit the campus include Unacademy, Nagaro, Byjus, Wipro, etc. more than 80 % of student gets in campus placements and the rest goes for higher studies. coming to my plan after my degree, I'll go for a job in some product-based company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The average fees per year for Btech CSE is 200000 here. But they provide scholarships based on the admissions test and the internal exam as well. If you take hostle inside campus then the cost of living + cost of study will be slightly more than 300000 per annum. For those who dont have enough money, a loan facility is also available here. every year fee is increased by I guess 2-3% and hostel fees by 2%.
Campus Life
At sharda, as the tagline says, The world is here... its somewhat true. you will find student from all over the india as well as outside the india too specially from African continent. Campus infrastructure is very good and so is campus life. Coming to the annual fest, Chorus is orgainsed every year which is Sharda's annual fest. It's a three-day fest in which celebrities are invited, Dj night is organized any many fun things are being organized. Coming to the tech fest, the Technical society of Sharda also known as Technova is responsible for all the technical things including fests, hackathons and all done here. Techonva is a good initiative by Sharda run by a group of students under the guidance of the HOD and Dean itself for the students. Technova consists of 6 clubs, and I am also the head coordinator of one of the clubs named Game Drifters, which is responsible to organise gaming tournaments and game development seminars here. Every month each club has to do at least one event.
Admission
The university takes admission via two methods. Either from the JEE or from SUAT ( Sharda University Admission Test). They also provide scholarships based on results of their admission test. admission test is followed by the interview call. The admission form is available on their official website i.e. sharda.ac.in. there is some charge to apply for the test. For Btech, the eligibility is 60% throughout the PCM and 50% in maths, and 75% aggregate. if you are fulfilling the criteria then you can only apply for this test. The admission process begins after the declaration of the 12th result and will continue till October. The admission process is quite simple and good enough to take students with merit and provide the scholarships they deserve.
