- Infrastructure over here is really good and maintained
- Discipline here is the first priority like they do not allow students to go out unless parents permission
- Timely parties and events are organized for studentd
Dislikes
- Curriculum is not really good they pressurize the students by taking exams on weekly basis. Moreover as an engineer they first taught us python but correct way is first learn c ,c++ no basics were covered properly
- They admitted a lot of crowd but their management is not really good
- Most of the exams are on online platforms there internet doesnt work fine and code do not get submitted hence students didnt get the actual marks lot of discrepecy in marks i myself was marked 0 even though my test went good but nobody really cares
Course Curriculum Overview
If I talk about the curriculum here there is not that good for our batch of course as we were online for the last two years so now they r continuously adding up subjects like frontend backend and the problem which students of 1st semester and 2nd also face is that they ask the students to switch to language and didn't give any time to be a perfectionist of one like in exams there is no option for language only one which was specified will be there. I must say some teachers are too good but on other hand, some teachers just come to class to teach for 10 minutes. Exams are taken one after another which is becoming a burden for students.
Placement Experience
As I am now in the 6th semester till now no placements so what I think is they will start from the 7th semester. A lot of companies in fact 100+ companies visit. The highest package goes 32 lakhs and the average is 8 to 10 lakhs. As there is a lot of crowd in chitkara 70 percent of students get placed the number may vary I am just telling the approx. Well, my plans after my degree are firstly to brush up my skills and get promoted to a senior post and I want to be an entrepreneur.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure here is fixed for a particular batch and increased by 2000 for other upcoming batches. there is no such scholarship kind test you need to pay a fixed amount if I talk about campus jobs till now I m in the 6th semester and no company has yet visited the college for placements while other colleges have already conducted internship drives.
Campus Life
App like chitkara ACM chapter there are many clubs in the college for students to enhance their communication skills like debsoc, ACM, geeks for geeks students chapter, IEEE, and c2s2 the club which looks for once singing dancing acting skills. So there are lots of clubs basically from which we can learn new things.
Admission
As I took admission during the corona period so everything regarding the admission process was online I just took the form from the nearby bookshop and hence submitted it. So I didn't face any difficulty while registering although I received a mail as confirmation as soon I registered and moreover a document received at my home congratulating me to be a part of chitkara university.
